I think most of us, both Singaporeans and Malaysians have a certain attachment to our own countries. If things aren't that great, we would possibly look for work elsewhere and even take up PR. But most of us won't give up our citizenship.

As for claims that those who are enjoying life in Malaysia are actually earning Singapore money and spending it here, that might be so in JB.
