I'm sure they know by now. Quite a few angry comments on their facebook. To be fair the guys who visit KTVs also don't intend to go there to contract Covid right? Unexpected for them too. Just really suay it happened now when they could have visited KTVs for many months without any earlier issue.

I just hope these guys will go for testing asap. It is not just about stopping the spread. If they really have Covid, early detection means they get medical attention asap. Covid can recover one for most people. Still can cheong in future. But if kenna Covid and still delay treatment.. unnecessary risk lah

Guess we are still all learning about the nature of Covid and human behaviour...hope Govt has learnt an impt lesson here...

Also agree with you, really pity those biz seriously affected by the restrictions, especially the old uncles and aunties...that is why let us all get vaccinated and follow the TT mode...by cooperating with the Govt we can help move towards a new normal of learning to live with Covid...

Why allow ktv to open in the 1st place? Is ktv an essential service?

Do they adhere to social distancing, safe distancing, wear mask rule?

The Viet bu hostesses are here to make money as much & as fast as they can, they dun gv it a damn on covid-19 or covid-20 or whatever, gv them money they will do anything as per your request, bring them to hotel oso they will agree as long as the price is right.

I thot very soon we dun hv to wear mask liao but now hv to wait long long leh ..

Govt got to take care of everyone. They cannot just let certain business sectors die off without help. Problem is, they do not discriminate between family/wholesome ktvs and the sleazy types.

But these ktv operators also should realize, with covid here for years to come, the writing is on the wall for this kind of businesses. Govt let them "pivot" to f&b is also just a temporary solution. Covid has ushered in the sunset for certain business sectors - like the ktvs - the entrepreneurs have to think of new ventures and new models, otherwise will die a long, slow death of on/off restrictions.

I don't think Covid on its own will permanently close off any biz sectors...temp yes but permanently no...why?...because over the long term, could be another year or two or three, we should be able to get a handle on how to successfully live with Covid while getting back to living a normal life as best as can be...

Watch the US Europe and UK(particularly England) closely for clues as to the way forward...no doubt there shall be road bumps, road blocks and detours along the way but it ain't going to stop them from moving forward...

At the moment though, think its best for biz like KTVs to just close for now....no point bleeding red anymore...it can always evolve a new later...probably with a fresh set of entrepreneurs as well...

KTV was not meant to be opened, those vendors change their operation to FNB to trick the system. In the end this happen.

Yes agree. This whole converting from KTV to F&B was a major loophole, just like how they just started to ringfence and conduct agressive contact tracing/Swab test. If it was initiated in the early days, probably the total count of Covid-19 cases in SG won't hit this high.

All and all, who to blame? Definitely not the vietbus because they have their bosses to get instructions from. 😪🤔🤐

ya but now the cases are spreading all over and not just limited to KTVs, Jurong Fishery Port but at neighbourhood areas like wet markets and community places, if all this bros who got infected also go chiong SPAs and MPs, the next hotspot after KTV will be them which is a very worriesome trend.
