Re: Story: The Invitation
Time: Friday afternoon
Venue: Office 1.35 pm Everyone is back from lunch and resumes their afternoon work. I pick up my phone and call Mr Jackson, one of the top 50 richest men in Singapore. Mr Jackson is a personal friend of Stuart and has decided to go with our bank to manage his $200 Mil funds because of Stuart’s relationship and of course, our bank’s repute. The only question now is whether to let my unit or George’s unit to manage the funds. Stuart is placing a lot of emphasis on this account; whoever can win the account and manage it well will be given huge credits in his career. Both our teams have made our presentation and proposal to Mr Jackson and of course, each one of us have entertained and tried to get into his good books on a number of occasions; we are just waiting for his final decision. Gut feel is he is leaning towards my team. “Hi Mr Jackson, it’s Wilson.” “Hey Wilson. I am still pondering about….” “No worries Mr Jackson. I am not calling to rush you for the decision. In fact, I just need to give you an update. This morning, because of the Fed chief’s comments and new direction, the financial markets might be in for an upheaval. I am not going to bore you with the details, but with the new info, I must confess you to that George’s team might have a stronger strategy than my team.” “Huh? This is a surprise, Wilson. You are actually speaking up for your rival?” “Haha no sir. We are not rivals, we are in the same bank and we are both under Stuart. Our job is to ensure we can perform a good job for your account, which is in the interest for you, for our bank and for our unit under Stuart. If George’s strategy can work better for your objectives, I must be gracious to advise the best for you too.” “That’s nice, Wilson.” “But just a note on that, you know I am the best in the market when it comes to forex and interest rates products but George is the man for the commodities. In his strategy, the position on the coal and gold prices is critical. I think it’s best you get him to explain that part in greater details to you. I have received some news that there is something huge that might come out early next week at the South America side so you might want to talk to George soonest possible. I want to make sure you get the best too.” “Hmmm ok, I have some time now. I will call George now. Thanks Wilson. You are a good team mate.” Off the phone with Mr Jackson. Within 1 minute, the phone next door rings. The next moment, a grinning George is assembling his team to go out. 2.05 pm “Hi Felicia, can you come to my room for a moment?” Felicia is George’s Personal Assistant. *Knock knock* “Hi Felicia, this is a highly confidential document relating to Mr Jackson’s account. I want you to pass to your boss. Don’t leave this lying around in the in-tray. Lock it up in his drawer and let him know when he is back. Very important. Oh and these empty envelopes as well. Put them together inside the same drawer.” “Ok noted, Wilson. What are these envelopes for? Such an interesting colour, green.” I just look at her and give her a smile. |

Re: Story: The Invitation
Time: Friday afternoon
Venue: Office 2.15 pm “Hi Mr Jackson, it’s me Wilson again. I know you are going to meet George soon. I have actually prepared a strategy that can complement George’s strategy very well. But in his haste to meet you, I didn’t manage to have the chance to brief him on that. Furthermore, the strategy is focused more on the exotic IRP futures which George might not have the full experience with. However, knowing my relationship with George, it might not be easy for him to adopt my suggestion. Hence I thought it might be good if you want to get Stuart down as well, so that he can bring my proposal along for your consideration to supplement George’s, and if the suggestions come from Stuart, instead of me, might be better.” “Sounds like a good suggestion. Simple I will just give Stuart a buzz now.” Within 5 minutes, a smiling Stuart comes to my room. “Wow Wilson, you really surprise me. Jackson has spoken to me and I appreciate your gracious intentions. Where is the proposal you mention?” “Oh boss, that’s what I should do for the bank. The proposal is locked up inside George’s drawer. I had wanted to pass to him but on second thoughts, I thought it might be better for you to be the one that bring down to them now. You know, my relationship with George has never been fantastic.” “Yea I know, I understand, no worries.” “By the way, I think it’s best you get Felicia to open the door and get the document from George’s room yourself. I don’t want the rest of the company to see me and you talking here and asking Felicia to retrieve stuff from George’s room and bring it here. You know, this kind of full glass walls and open concepts can work both ways.” “Ha I know what you mean. Thanks Wilson. I won’t forget your contributions if we do well for this huge account.” Stuart goes into George’s room together with Felicia. Felicia opens the drawer and takes out the proposal. Before she closes the drawer, Stuart stops her. He looks into the drawer, takes up the envelopes and examines it. His facial expression tells me that there is a big question mark in his mind. He puts back the envelopes, takes the proposal from Felicia and leaves. Can tell from his departing back view that he is unconsciously shaking his head. His mind is getting confused. I call Felicia on the phone. “Sorry Felicia, you can pass me back the envelopes. That’s not for George. I got it confused.” |

Re: Story: The Invitation
Time: Friday afternoon
Venue: Office 4.30 pm Email from Jenny. “Ok I will be there at 8 pm sharp.” 4.45 pm Email from Stuart. “Ok set 8.15 pm at the restaurant.” The reply is from his smartphone. They should be on their way back. 4.55 pm A beaming Stuart, George and his team comes through the door. As expected, they have gotten the contract signed and George’s team is all cheering and exchanging high fives. My team is looking on with disappointed looks. Michelle comes through my door, “Boss, you okay?” “Don’t worry Mich. We win some, we lose some.” Feels a flutter in my heart with Michelle’s concern. Ever since my feelings have been stirred by the Secret Club, I start to look at Michelle in a different light and my feelings for her have never been the same. As Stuart walks past my room, he gives me a thumb up sign. Can see his happiness, though I am not sure it’s from the Jackson’s deal or tonight’s date for the Special Club. 5 pm I call Mark. “Bro, proceed as plan.” 5.05 pm George is on the phone. Can see his smirk and happy expression replaced by a look of anguish. |

Re: Story: The Invitation
Revenge is a dish best served cold. Down George's career, maybe take Stuart together with him, and then Wilson's career advance, get his wife back, and whack George gao gao, make George report to Wilson.

Re: Story: The Invitation
Time: Friday night
Venue: Restaurant 7.50 pm Jenny reaches the restaurant. She is ever so beautiful and sexy. My cock immediately stirs at the thought of my bounty at the end of tonight. I am finally going to have her. “Oh hi. I am Wilson. I am here for the date. Are you here for the date as well?” (I must act surprised; I am supposed to be the invitee) “Yes I am. I am Jenny.” She is blushing furiously. The sight of a blushing Jenny is making my cock saluting at 12 o’clock. “You look familiar. Did we meet somewhere before?” “It’s ok if you can’t recall. That’s not important. Most important thing is what we are here for tonight, right?” Jenny is trying to act coy with me. Well, it does not make sense for her to let me know she is the wife of my colleague haha. “Ok, shall we order our food first?” Just as we are browsing the menu, my phone beeps. Message from Mark “He is downstairs” This Stuart must be so anxious. He is supposed to reach 8.15 pm. It’s only 7.55 pm now. “Sorry Jenny, I need to go to the washroom for a moment.” I excuse myself and go towards the lift. 7.57 pm *Tink* the lift reaches the 6th storey; out step Stuart. He is totally surprised to see me, “Oh hi hi. Wilson. Such a coincidence.” “No boss. I am waiting here for you.” “Whhhaaa…ttt ….do you….mean?” “Don’t worry boss. I know you are here by an invitation by the Special Club. I was in the same shoes. I am here to save you.” Stuart is completely shocked and puzzled by now. “Come, boss. Let me show you. Take a quick glance at the table you are supposed to meet and let’s go. Don’t go in.” We go past the restaurant and I bring him to the café on the second floor. The place is packed. I walk towards a table at the far corner. The guy sitting at that seat so happens to stand up and go to the counter to settle his bill. Me and Stuart take the seat. This seat is strategic as it is at the corner, more concealed from the others. More importantly, from the seat, we can actually look down at the ground floor at the main entrance to the building. Everyone, including those who drive and park their car in the carpark, has to come through this entrance. I look up at the guy who was occupying this seat and give him a quick wink. Mark pays his bill and goes out of the café. “Boss, I know you have 1,000 questions in your mind now. Do you recognise that lady you are supposed to meet?” “She looks familiar….very familiar.” “She is Jenny, the wife of George.” “What?!?! How could that be? And how did you know about all this?” “Take a look at this first. Do it secretly, don’t let others see it.” Stuart looks at the stuff I pass him A photo showing me going into the hotel room 08-19. Date stamped and time stamped 8.15 pm. A second photo showing Jenny going into hotel room. Room number is blurred but seems like 08-19. Date stamped and time stamped 8.20 pm. A third photo showing Jenny leaving the room at 12.50 am. A fourth photo showing me leaving at 1.05 am. There were another 3 more photos. They showed a man and a woman having sex. The woman was clearly Jenny. The man’s face could not be seen clearly but the camera purposely focused onto the watch on the man’s wrist. A Patek Philippe. I flash my watch at Stuart. “What? You are having an affair with George’s wife? Oh my god.” “No boss. That’s not the full story. I did have an affair with Jenny, but it’s all set up by George. He is the mastermind behind the Special Club. He uses his wife to seduce me through the Special Club and took all these photos to blackmail me. Why else would you think I would so willingly give up the account for Mr Jackson to him today?” “Oh I understand now.” “Not only that. I am suspecting him to be doing the same to you. After what happened to me, I was constantly trying to find something to break free from George’s blackmail. Hence I engaged a P.I. to check on him. The P.I told me George went to your home area. That’s when I started to suspect. Today in his office, I saw your expression when you saw these green envelopes, it confirms my suspicion. That’s why I asked my P.I to tail Jenny and come here. When I saw Jenny at the restaurant, I knew they are at it again.” Stuart is in a state of shock now. 8.25 pm “Boss, look downstairs.” George is walking through the entrance. “Wilson, what am I supposed to do now?” “Nothing. Just go home first. We shall discuss again on how to get back at George. But don’t let him know you have discovered this. Go back and email the Special Club that you have suddenly fell sick. We will buy time for now and think of our next step.” “Ok ok” Stuart leaves the place, still in a state of shock. But I know he believes me entirely and is grateful to me for “saving” him from George. 8.35 pm I am still sipping my coffee at my cafe. George is seen leaving the entrance in a huff. He is supposed to be here to catch his wife’s infidelity again, but he obviously can’t find anything. Before he reaches, Mark has gone up to the restaurant to pass Jenny a special green envelope. Inside the envelope, it tells Jenny that this restaurant is too dangerous and open so the dinner has been cancelled, and she is to adjourn to the hotel room immediately. Dinner will be served at the hotel soon and I will join her at the hotel room shortly. I am smiling to myself for my great plan. I have used the exact same photos that George has used to blackmail Claire, back on him. His boss (also my boss) is now wary of him and on my side. His wife is now waiting for me in the hotel room. This coffee tastes sweet. I have not even put in any sugar.
