You are correct...antibodies testing for HIV need 3 months (12 weeks) to be consider conclusive...6 months testing are those health care or drug users who might got infected by needles..Which might have hep C that will cause delay in seroconversion...

No need to speculate lah. Unless this guy show us his test results, we will never know whether or not he is infected, whether the PRC is infected or whether he is carrying out his rounds of revenge.

But base on the reply of some of the bros in this thread... I think many are rather misinformed about HIV and the test.

You can go on warning people about dangers of raw sex... but often it will fall on deaf ears lah. Sometime the best view of God is from the pits of hell. Unless they hit rock bottom.... they won't wake up one lah. Just pray for them that it's not too late.

Yeah...I hope that people will take the advice and use condoms for commercial and casual sex...This HIV crap is shitty and the stigma that lies with it especially in singapore is great...Althought HIV is a weak virus and not easy to get infected...Out of 100 virons that gets into the body..probably only 1 or 2 is infectious and they also need to attached themselves to the white blood cells in order for it to replicate...That explains why people with STDs are more likely to be infected with HIV as there are large amount of white blood cells in those open sores caused by STDs...But I am not telling people to take chances...Just wear a latex condom and stay safe...It is not worth a few minutes of shiokness and then take medicine for the rest of the life...

What was the time period between the time you did that China gal and the time your doctor summon you to clinic and break the painful nightmare to you? From my understanding, full blown AIDS does not show itself until 3 to 6 months later from its initial infection.

he is right to feel angry for contracting AIDS... but he can be only angry at himself... if he chooses to take the risk and bonk around, be prepared to contract AIDS and other sexually transmitted disease... its like visiting the casino but only that the stakes are higher.. you are playing the russian roulette with your life... even if he had worn a condom, he would have gotten AIDS anyway... condoms are 99.9% safe from pregnancy but are only 60-70% safe from sexually transmitted diseases... anyways, AIDS take about 3-6 months to show in test results... so he probably got AIDS from someone he bonked with condom on...

I think the story's a hoax... from experience there are simply too many loopholes. but anyway it's better to be safe than sorry! so simply take the necessary precautions!

Indeed even without condom, HIV infection might not even occured even though the chance is higher unless you very the suay then no comment cause for HIV infection to occur, the virus load need to be quite high inorder for it to occur and it will always take two for it to occur which means when there's any fluid exhanges, both parthners need to be in the same condition to cause any infection.

e.g, frenching alone with only saliva exchange does not caues infection to occur since no record has being proven however if the hiv carrier has sore or cut or bleeding gum in his/her mouth, chances are almost equal to zero but if both parties has sore, bleeding gum or cuts in his mouth, chances are infection might occured but still rather slim for it to happen.
it's the same thing for penetration sex if the condom is there chances are very very low unless it breaks then it will bring the possibilty of infection higher.

i might be wrong at certain point but just remember that the chances are never absolute zero so always use the umbrella.
