Ya. They are 40+, not 40 exact. But some wrinkles are inevitable. What do you define as maintain? Waist, face, hair? What do you do for each?

Agree. The only 2 things I chase after every day. Family healthy, all happy, good enough. Tomorrow will take care of itself. I say chase because sometimes these 2 are elusive.

Anyhow eat, kenna cholesterol. After work come back nag and nag at kids, become vexed. Now SA1 period. Every parent sure stress.

Re: do u expect your wife to maintain her looks?

Yes, I do..me and my wife just different 2 years, but when people see us like I have 20 years old gf even she is in mid 30s. I believe thats the reason why people always stare to us, cos they think I play with poly or uni student. She has inner beauty and always go for gym to maintain health, eat healthy diet. Nice skin and scene, very caring and lovely person. But with all this, and especially what she have done to me, I have my one question, what I can do for her as a return? Keep fling to other woman?? This actually become my reflection recently that makes me sad..

My point is, whatever u expect from ur wife, u also shld expect the same thing to urself!!! Dont be so selfish!!

have some wrinkles is normal n part of aging gracefully. unless u botox yourself crazy.
how I define? v simple do something to upkeep like sensible diet, exercise, skin care, hair care. do according to own budget. low end can be running free in our parks, swim in public pool $1. products can be pharmacy brands. hair dresser can be neighborhood. saw fandi's wife wendy jacobs in friday's papers, she buy her skin care fr watson n she looks slim n radiant aft having a few kids n at 43. so one can maintain at any budget level.

It's a sad fact.. I am mid 40s and my Sec Sch classmates.. some really grandma look. Imagine having to see their FB updates regularly.

I do people watch a lot and my opinion about this women+looks issue is really about diet. Sg has a lot of overweight women. And overweight women.. once hit mid 40s... age very poorly, a lot worse than guys. My conclusion.. is that women need to keep slim so that the ageing process is kind.

I really wonder about women mindset. What they think is the acceptable body weight/shape. Women need to be around BMI of 20, for the ageing process to be kind. Not much exercise is required, just stop eating carbo. Exercising is more about toning and body sculpting.

Therefore, maintenance should really be about preparing for a graceful future, not just about current looks.

Usually its about stress level that you need to fix first, then you need to maintain your diet as well, plus exercise and all skin, body and hair care plus make up. I am also this kind of person that easily stress about anything, while my wife didn't. So a bit of sian la...

there is a double bonus to maintain weight, u get a better health n also better looks. bmi i think shd be around 19 to 21 for asians. below 19 too skinny, your skin sag, above 21 like u say makes u age badly. but its no hard rules some athletics can have out of this range bmi n are v healthy n good looking. as for food no need cut out carbs, just eat more complex carbs instead simple sugar. increase protein to maintain muscles (to give the right shape to the body) n loads of fruits n veg. n the best advice is fr Mr LKY, dont eat too much!

run n swim would be the regular exercise as it doesn't take much time n can be done alone. i love to play netball, tennis but that's alot of effort getting people booking courts.
