i am really quite amused by your child like attitude. you said "i don't have to stoop so low like jeffkl." so pls tell me what were ur intentions to express to me and other readers when u wrote that line? i wasn't even the least bothered nor assumed that u would mistaken that it was me to zap you! as i already said, I can't be BOTHERED! the only thing here mr. sensitive, is that, i was trying to offer a consolatory hand for you to shake and apologise on behalf of my inconsiderate malaysian person who zapped u for no good reason. that's all. u are getting too emotional over this debate. it's what u perceive with your mind. u can read alright, but u don't seem to be able to comprehend what i am trying to say. i am not guilty stricken nor do i have to be cos i wasn't even the one who zapped you! DUH! I can read perfectly with my specs and I perfectly understand your english. you said " Your msian zapper!" which means it wasn't me of course! DUH! haha, as i ALREADY mentioned in my earlier post 420 (Don't u ever read my posts?) i already mentioned that in my jest to get a message across, i may have said SOFT vulgarities. it's eg like "f@#K man," "what the f#$k", or "tiu", "or as u said " kan na sai", i accept them as soft vulgarities, just as how we would say it in real life when we talk to our frens or to people. since u already accepted my apology, so why still keep bringing it up? i already TOLD you i know which word u are talking about. hence i already apologised. gee, is there nothing else constructive u can add to this "debate"? you said " But certainly speaks volume of what kind of person I am discussing with." that we leave it to other forumers to decide what kind of person we are by the sensible things we say in this debate. haha, again u are sadly mistaken. this is not my "turf" BECAUSE this is a public domain. i am not that CHILDISH enough to assume i actually "own" ANY turf here. it's a public website for goodness sake. you got any "turf" here that i can go to?tells alot to others what kind of person you are.. haha? discuss with another learned forumer? unless it's about sex and more sex, i doubt you could hold the interest of that prof ookami (Respect). ur version of a "debate" certainly is weird cos i seem to read all our posts as a one sided affair. only me giving facts and answering questions. and you giving me more questions to answer without giving me answers. do you call that a debate? if your next post is going to be more and more questions for me to answer, then i know what kind of a "discussion" u like to have with others. it's a discussion where u got no facts but only like to ask people more and more questions. if you got no more facts to back up your claims and questions, or give me facts to prove my statements are wrong, then pls don't assume that this is a adult debate. it's more like a ten year series debate to me, only me giving u the facts and answers. BORING! i wonder what more questions u got for me to answer in ur next post. can you PLEASE start answering any of my questions for a change? you are not intellectually challenging at all! Stop wasting my time asking more stupid questions! |

Re: Please be careful - Daylight Robbery
To all bros, in case you start labelling me as PRO singaporean or ANTI malaysian, I'm just stating facts.
Life is never fair and certainly no govts are IS perfect. I know the limitations in my country but I also know the opportunities I can have in my country. Complaining is a way of life but being practical in life is all tat counts. For the record, I may not 100% agree with what my govt is doing, but i find ways and means to circumvent the situation. I strongly refuse to sit back and complain and not take charge of my life. Sorry if my posts have been long and draggy, maybe it's becos of lack of sex. |

As I already said I know nuts about your Msia politics/policies. Thats why I only pose questions related to my garment policies to you since you told everyone here you know so much about its policies. Its that wrong. Anyway to cut all this "craps" all I can said its the foreign talents policy only benefit the company, retail shops and the sporean garment. It doesnt benefit someone who was axed and replaced by another foreign talent. Of course you may say that sporean may be old or drawing high pay or problematic staff blah blah blah just to prove your arguement right. But let me tell you this the example I gave rgd the 3 GRO is just tip of the iceberg. Your sporean frens who are working hard and not complaining cos they are still employed. Wait till one of these days they got replaced by foreign talents. Of course you can say (like our donkey Minsiters) upgrade yourself lor. Practically everyone here did that. And most of them who were retrenced before were offered alternative jobs. Bo pian, accept with lower pay. But when you witness yourself that your previous job being replaced by a foreign talent, how would you feel? Not just my friends who gone thru hell, fam of 5, got 3 kids to feed but there are alot more out there whos in this sort of predicament. Hey the list can goes on and on. As for your Msian brother Prof, I dont see the need to debate with him. Hes a learned knowledgeable man and by reading his post, one can gain alot of knowledge. As I had stated my previous post, theres no winner/losers. I already say theres not much to discuss with you and you also say I talked nonsence and we wasting bandwidth since its off-topic. Lets stop here. Period.

http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/N...cle/index_html PUTRAJAYA: Locals will replace foreigners on the frontline in airports to give tourists a truly Malaysian welcome. It is also part of the efforts to reduce dependency on foreign workers. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the directive to Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad and its outsourcing operators will be effective as soon as it is practical to do so. "All airports, especially the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, are to only use local manpower in jobs involving interfacing with tourists. "This is a new ruling for MAHB and their operators to ensure the services they outsource will be carried out by locals," Najib said after chairing a cabinet committee on tourism yesterday. Home Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad, who also attended the meeting, said the move followed a similar policy involving frontline positions in the hospitality industry. "We want workers that tourists meet when they arrive -- those pushing trolleys and taking their bags -- to be locals. We even want those who clean toilets to be locals. This is also one of the steps towards reducing our dependency on foreign workers," Radzi said. The committee also decided to give six-month multiple-entry visas to health tourists. Tourists who come to the country for medical treatment are usually issued a 30-day visa. Najib said the move was to boost health tourism, which in 2006 received 296,687 visitors. This was a 16 per cent increase over the 232,161 health tourists in 2005. However, health tourists will have to show they are genuine patients by submitting letters from the hospital or health facility they are seeking treatment when applying for their visas. Another decision by the committee was to promote Malaysia as a prime shopping destination in the region. Najib said the goal was to push tourist spending on shopping to 50 per cent of total tourists expenditure. At present, less than 25 per cent of their total expenditure goes to shopping. Other decisions taken were: - to forward complaints on taxi services to the Entrepreneur and Co-operative Development Ministry; - for the Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry to create new tourism products through arts and cultural festivals and museums; - for City Hall to brighten up the Bukit Bintang area with more commercial lighting to look like Hong Kong or Ginza in Japan; - a proposal for international schools catering to children of middle-income foreigners living here under the Malaysia My Second Home programme; and, - for the Foreign Ministry to resolve technical issues in allowing visa-free entry for businessmen from China. |

Re: Please be careful - Daylight Robbery
no way to compare singapore with malaysia lah... the fact remains fact that malaysia government is useless. how on earth can the world largest palm oil producer and net export of oil be poorer than singapore is beyond comprehension.
you put a dog or cockroach as malaysia PM in 1965 and the PM just dont do anything and i can assure you that malaysia will be a superpower today. the problem is the government and corruption.

Re: Please be careful - Daylight Robbery
I hear that JOBSDB is having a trade fair from 18-20 jan. hope your frens can find something better there.
i emphatise your frens' situation, but i do humbly believe that it is a small percentage of job replacement with foriegn talent. I may never know why the company replaced your frens with foreign talents, but i do somehow believe it's not as simple as it looks. maybe all my sg frens/ex-classmates are a lucky lot in the sense they're either salaried workers or they're self employed ala entreprenuers. i've got frens who have successful web businesses and i've also got one fren who started import/export of exotic fishes only 2 years ago when he was 30 yrs old. it was a big step for him cos he was leaving a SGD8,000 job. and yes, he has 1 kid too. in any case as the chinese saying goes " if there's no work in east house, can always look for work in west house".. as for the article about malaysia replacing the foreigners with locals, pls dun be mistaken. the airport actually hired cheap, foreign labour who can't speak good english. the airport don't care about service, only care about cheap wages, that's why the govt step in to change the situation. it's unlike the situation in sg where they hire competent foreign labour. the govt also found out in a recent study that nearly 70% of our local university graduates cannot speak proper english, i wonder which local will they hire to meet and greet the international tourists. for the situation about najib making decisions, you can rest assured, NOTHING will be done! the mongolian model murder was a big uproar! any one convicted yet? NO! the "china girl" nude squat controversy was a big uproar! they said they wanted to implement Royal Commission to change the way the police workforce operate! it's been 2 long years already and the crime rate is still increasing every year, did they implement the changes after promising in 2005? Nope! heck, the proposal is already done but the govt still dilly dally to implement the changes! we the citizens are still suffering from high crime rate and corrupt police!! see xdecep, that's the diff between sg and msia. our ministers will only like to talk and give false promises, but the work is sadly never carried out. they thrive on "feel good" factors to deceive foreign investors and the like. if you live long enuff in malaysia, u will always see these type of news on the govt controlled media. NATO, No Action Talk Only. we are immune to such news. you read how our govt want to implement the JB iskandar project and north corridor project and east coast project and sarawak project.. altogether cost billions of RM. as mentioned in my earlier post, Msia got more public debt than SG, so how to fund all these projects at the same time?? borrow from loansharks? i can assure you, xdecep, for us malaysians who can think for themselves, we rather see the buildings coming up first before we even start believing anything that comes out of our politician's mouth. our govt is running out of money. cos we running out of oil. heck, we build penang 2nd bridge also must borrow billions from China! how can a country develop when they got no money??! we malaysians have got cooking oil shortage, flour shortage, sugar shortage! all these is unheard of in sg! my country is not going to develop anywhere i'm sorry to say! our country is doomed... |

Re: Please be careful - Daylight Robbery
Msia will not be doomed. Sick&poor may. Why is it so?? Tell me besides all the foreign "brains", what else do Sick&poor have?? Though Msia may have the wrong brains sitting at the helm, they have natural resources. Just like his Indonesia counterpart. You just need to have the right persons to run the govt. So, fret not. Msians will not starve to death.
Just yesterday I was asking a Japanese woman (holding a nine yr SC) why she decided to renounce her Japan citizenship? She said Japan too expensive. Sick&poor becoming expensive but she say still quite manageable. But she would not hesitate to migrate again should here end up like Japan. So whats the morale of the story?? With all the rich migrating to Sick&poor, foreign "talents" including tourists holding visiting pass, all eyeing and competing for jobs with our local "bumiputras" and yet MM (of course he has no problem holding jobs) telling us (the educated and the old) not to retire but carry on working till DEATH?? In the first place wheres the job?? Not that singaporeans are picky. You guys think a S$850/ - $1500 salary a mth manageable for a fam of 4??
