someone told me that the old ringgit ( with the red flower) cannot be use after Dec 16. can someone confirm. thanks

Yes, Malaysia govt said so. However, they are famous for not keeping their words. Nevertheless, just used it up or exchange

Should be true. Already some shops do not accept the old notes.
Btw, the new notes are the ones with the red flower.
