Yes. But it could be other Medical problems not related to STDs or HIV.

Not necessary so. Could be STDs or some other medical problem.

Besides mandatory stringent medical checks, the new WLs are also subjected to having their finger prints taken, thorough Interviews to determine that they are not forced to come here to work as WLs.

Immigration dept and AV have to liase n file documentation on each and every WL.. (their passports will be kept by Immigration dept before yellow card is issued) so the process usually takes a few weeks.
