It used to they come ard 7pm -- big choice of gers, hence one has 2-3 hrs (till 9pm or 10pm) to be entertained. Now "smart" (outsmart), many come ard 9pm! Hence, the gers serve u 1 hr (or even less since they butterfly) for the same price!!

I really feel sorry so many bros sit around, with just a few gers (4-5) running around..all waiting for 9pm++ only to be 'disappointed' with less than 1 hr service...(and the gers now asking 10 buck more...)

Time to move on indeed...

No man alive will dare claim to know everything about anything. We all learn something EVERY day and continuing to learn. Learning is a lifelong process. Although that post was directed at Colt, i too, felt the same way with them.

To me, the vietnamese WL are nice and gentle folks.But please do not get me wrong. I am looking at it from a class 3 man's perspective in relation to cheonging. I am the 'fuck and forget' type with no intention of forming any relationships with them, because i am fully incapable of loving someone again, lest of all, WLs. As to them for serious gf or brides, this is hardly the thread for it and would only hurt those decent vietnamese brides and non WLs girls, a different social temperament and expections altogether.

As to why i have this perspective of them being nice, compared to the other asian girls, it is because of their ingrained culture. They are the last bastion of feminine meekness and humbleness in asia, if not in the world.

To understand their culture, which is tradition built up over time, there are many other threads here as well as on the web. I will spare bros here the torture of repeating it.

However, i will only mention that which is of better relevance to all briefly. Vietnam has been ruled by a communist authoritarian and repressive regime since after WWII. The people had seen tragic wars waged for countless years. Even until today, they have one of the world's largest standing army of a million men.( women only form a miniscule percentage)

Being of a communist regime, social equality is only paid lip service. Women were not given the freedoms that our sg women enjoyed. They were kept servile, meek and humble to support the men, who were honoured as protectors of the nation.

Such men were often sent to far flung locations for national duties, thus the family support most women had since WWII were from women, and children grew up in much feminine environments. However, boys were inducted into the army at early ages to clean the feminine traces, turning them into much feared warriors in asia.

For the daughters - mothers and relatives were their anchors and moral support in life. Even though being atheist communists, the ancient confucisian traditions of fillal piety were closely adhered to. Mothers and relatives gave their all to support the family and when they grow old, the daughters return such support, thru the decades.

These family units were tied closely to their village, and headed by Communist Party cadres. These cadres are the law. Should any of the villagers, espacially women, were to be more vocal about equality of social issues, they would earn a visit in the middle of the night from the state's secret police. They learnt to be meek, humble and submissive out of fear, and became a tradition as the generations grew.

Even with modernisation as Vietnam opened up, communism still rule. Its repressive fingers can be felt everywhere. There are much freedom, but only in limited and heavily regulated form, even in the sex industry. Luxury goods can be obtained now, with the embargo by US lifted in recent years, but at costs beyond that of an average salaried worker. Economic financial policies only favour the powerful and the connected. The poor are kept poor, as democratisation moves at a slow pace in this country.

With modernisation came its trappings - car, computers, phones, facillities,education,etc. Aspirations arised, debts grew. Trapped in poverty, overseas work is one way out to help modernise their own family and meet rising aspirations.

The ones who came to our shores carried with them such traditions of meekness, which can be seen and felt by all who visit JC area. However, times change and people will change. More so when they earn our dollars from foolish cheongsters such as me, enough to feed a family a month by just sitting with us for an hour.

Greed is natural in all humans. But their limited greed cannot be compared to their rapacious modernised asian cousins such as the bangkok thais and manila pinoys, who knew freedom and material desire without fear for centuries. These vietnamese know the meaning of enough and humble servitude and most of them will never return once they settled their financial difficulties.

Disclaimer: I only use a generalised emperical figure of 75% of the female population when writing about them, which means that out of 10 vietnamese you meet, 7 will behave in the manner as i had written and 3 others will behave differently, for good or worse. Just my 2 cents worth, my perspective and others need not agree to what i write.
