I was a regular there for a few years when Batamindo in Muka Kuning just came up, for work mind you gentlemen and that was in 1992 I think, worst than you bro...

PK, let me try to contact one of my chinese friend in Batam, if he is still there & has his van (can put 6 inside), I will bring you guys there, the roads shouldn't have changed much, hopefully...but that guy knows his way round, let me check first, stay tuned....

(the only thing is that by the time I'm able to bring you guys there is in the evening, confirmed left only the "chai buay" (unwanted leftovers), in batam they go very early to book the vegetable...)

I just figure that there must be hotels that are cheap and therefore GF in VT but I can't find anything on the websites for under $35. Gotta be small hotels in a town like that.

Is this the same Botarbolampar as is organising golf trips to China? What about to South VN eg Da Lat, Thien Phiet, or even Vung Tau?

Golf in VN does have the benefit of the (sometimes very nice) lady caddies!
