Every Ah Beng has his day!

My office Ah Beng overheard two people talking, one is the office accounts gal (a little SPG with a tendency to sometimes slang, I call her "mini SPG"). They were discussing F1 and she mentioned Grand Prix. However she pronounced it as "Grand Pricks".

Ah Beng when heard this, he suan her thus:

"si "Gron Pree" lah. simi "Grand Pricks". "Pricks" si lan cheow chai bo? ..... (followed by crude loud laugh) ....... F1 chia eh gear em si kio pricks - si GEAR STICK (F1 car gear is not called "pricks", its called GEAR STICK)."

Mini SPG is really super mortified by an Ah Beng helicopter correcting her English ..... guess its more singlish and less slang for mini SPG ....

heng ah, mini SPG kena and I check up the word pronunciation before kena malu as I think I also will pronounce it as "Grand Pricks" ..... can die woh!

We are so "impressed" by ah beng to pronounce correctly "Grand Prix" that we go round testing our company's helicopters the word "lingerie". True to form Ah Beng pronounced it "LING-gerie"!

What however made me chio ka peng:

Not to be confused with Mini SPG, there is another gal in our office called "Tam Pok SPG" (a little SPG). Its a nickname that this Lau hero himself gave her.

"Tam Pok SPG" actually like Korean movies, got fall in love with Korean idols and speak Mandarin to other staff. However, when she speaks English, she macham American slang like that ..... because of that, she only little bit SPG (hence "Tam Pok").

(CB Lau Hiao later shorten her nickname to Tam Pok because she say Tam Pok SPG neh neh cup size small, very little/tiny, in other words, "Tam Pok". We have been calling her Tam Pok for short from then on ....)

Anyway, Tam Pok SPG correctly pronounced "lingerie", (lon-sher-ray). When Ah Beng heard that Tam Pok correctly pronounced it, he exclaimed: "min si Tam Pok SPG, si SEBEI SPG ah ....."

Don't know if this little anecdote translated well in words, but the way Ah Beng said it plus the context it is said is dam bladdy hilarious (and I have to wipe my eyes from tearing with laughter).

Bro, glad to see you back to your old self ... if fun dun work out with Sammi... i am sure there are many alternatives out there ... just treat Sammi as a passing shadow and dont allow her to cast a black cloud over your life.

Hahaha, the french pronounce "R" as "H" ... and they do not pronounce the last "X" and "D" in a word ... thats how we get "Gron Pree" LOL

You know sometimes in movies at the ending part, they tell you "whatever happened to" ... and give a summary of their life since then ... I will do the same. Only difference is that this is real life and the ending is thus open ...

1) Sammi coming into my life gives me the most happiness (and also the most pain ever) when she left me. Basically she told me to go to Olive. My calls for several months after the "break-up" went un-answered. I was quite devastated by the turn of events. But time heals. I have found out from Ayumi that Sammi has since another boy friend, another well off businessman whom she is quite serious with and might be getting married.

Sammi did call me three weeks ago for a chat .... crazily for me, despite the hurt, I would at a drop of a hat, go back to her if she wants it. (Of course, I want it .... lah). No pride lah this lao hero

As I mentioned so many times in this thread, I know that whatever the ending might be, its truly the 不在乎天長地久,只在乎曾經擁有 (Translated: Don't care about the longevity of the relationship, but only that there ever is a relationship). For me, it gives me (and perhaps some others validation, that whatever your station in life and no matter how you look like, there is by some cosmic chance, a possibility that you might get a goddess to like (I till now dare not to say love) you enough to have sex with you.

2) For Olive, yes, we are still together ... as usual got drama which I will narrate in my new thread, "Chronicles of a Lao Hero". (Till now I still feel marshy whenever I see this fantasy gal thread, so I decide to start another one). I very the Sensitive New Age Man .... Lao Hiao will probably vomit if she ever hear me describe myself as a SNAG.

Oh yes, I have proposed to Olive. Typical dam Romantic Singapore style ..." where to apply HDB good ah?" ..... her first words, "you propose ROM? How come never go down on one knee?". Not yet ROM as must consult Master on auspicious date!

3) Lao Hiao is still around. I still in same company .. seriously which other company will hire me? Company still struggling .. what with clown employees like us .. and me as (ahem!) Manager...... anyway title or no title, I still get no respect from Subordinates and Boss. And I still shoot off my CB mouth .... things never change ....

4) Ah Chuan, like me still pines for Sammi. He is dating one girl whom he is considering marrying. What is it about Ah Tiongs and need to get married? Ironically, he now calls me more than Sammi .....

5) Talking about marriage, even Ayumi is considering marriage. Her Singaporean sugar daddy dumped her after he caught her two timing him. (She had an abortion with him). She is now dating a men younger than her - probably rich man's son. Ayumi the cougar ... however its only a matter a time before she seduces the daddy and create a scandal. She talks more about her prospective dad in law than her bf when she chats with me.

6) Cousin will be de-posted back to Singapore come June 2012. Then the very house which started it all will no longer be around. Its like the closing of the chapter in this stage of my life.

7) Despite my being "engaged", there are a lot of back stories to share ... how I went on a buaya spree as I cope with the devastation of my break-up with Sammi. This will be shared in my new thread ... Chronicles of a Lao Hero ..... a lot of the characters still around ... plus things take some unexpected twist which you will enjoy reading ....

Thus, until Sammi somehow comes back (unlikely) or there are interesting developments... this fantasy gal chapter of my life is closed ....
