List u need:

ROM- Marriage Search record--Part 1
Single Cert (Dang Sheng Zheng Ming Shu)--Part 2


1st, u go ROM website to retrive ur marriage record n Dang Sheng Zheng Ming Shu.
2nd, Go to Supreme Court (opps funan), floor 3M translation office to get ur marriage record n Dang Sheng Zheng Ming Shu translated to chinese.
3rd, Get both ur eng n chn ver and go to MFA Ministry of Foreign Affiar to get it stamp. Located at Napier road. Once u reach at on the left side of the main enterance.
4th, After going to MFA, get ready all ur documents (Marriage Record Eng n Chn ver and get it stamp by MFA and ur Dang Shen Zheng Ming Shu Eng n Chn ver). Go to China Embassy in Singapore at Tanglin Road, juz about 500meter away from MFA, to get it verify.
5th, now u can go china and get marry.

Dang Sheng Zheng Ming Shu--
U can get it by engage a lawyer to prove that u r single and did not married anywhere or u are divorced. Cost i will not know how much to engage a lawyer.

Alternative u can go to Singapore Embassy in China (Beijing, Shanghai, GuangZhuo) depending which is nearer to ur wife to be place. Go there to get 1 cos u $26 RMB. But it is in Eng, U can call up the wai ji hun ying shou to check wheather they do translation anot this will save u time n money.

Damages:

Marraige Search record SGD $35 takes 1 day
Translation at Superem Court 1st 100 words SGD $18, subsequce 50 words SGD $12 takes 1 day
MFA stamp SGD $10 per page instanct
Verification at China Embassy SGD $30 for normal 4days, addition SGD$35 for advance 1 to 2 day

If you are going there for more then 14 days you need to apply for Visa at China Embassy in Singapore.

If you are planning to bring her over to Singapore to get married 1st you have to apply her a Entry Visa, you will be her sponsorer but an approve Entry Visa dosen't mean she can allow in to Singapore. At the airport custom theywill aprrove her a 14 day, 30 day, or wad so ever period you apply for her but they can also reject her entry and ask her go back.

Getting married in China doesn't need any witness. But do ask your gf about the procedure at her province. Which province does she stay?

I counldn't say where to get marry is better is depending on you and her.

My gf says marry in china need ???. Normally the dad will use this chance to ask some money from the guy. So better avoid.

I can attempt to answer this part of yr qn. Ask her to try to get a job as a qualified tour guide. She has to sit for an exam. Most PRC grads are not good in spoken English but are fairly good with written tests.

Protect assets? .... dun make the mistake of assuming just because you ROM overseas you can get away from the reach of the Womens Charter...... if both of you reside in Singapore....... the Womens Charter applies to your marriage.

If your other half is from a rich family or she has assets in China...... I suggest you ROM there and RESIDE in China..... the PRC marriage laws there is that after the 7th year of marriage..... assets of the bride acquired before the marriage becomes the property of the marriage.... ie. (the hubby now is entitled to it )

That is why all the rich families file for divorce upon reaching their 7th year..... and ROM again to the same hubby.
