Some lvl of ego is necessary for a single woman fencing off unwanted men when there is no one to look after her back n moreover she has kid to protect. If you think it is good fate, then it is. If you think it is bad fate, then it is. If you think it is no fate then you won't even encounter or been through it.

Everything that you have been through or anyone that you have met is due to certain causes. You might not realise but out of so many billions of people, so many billions of encounters, so many billions of stories, by all means, they happen for some reasons.

1) the development of events outside a person's control, regarded as predetermined by a supernatural power.

2) be destined to happen, turn out, or act in a particular way.

But for me, I believe it would be at the right place at the right time meeting the right person.
