If MOM replied there's no information for her permit status, then they stand neutral for her marriage. ICA also can't commit to you on your marriage because they are the visa issuing authority.
I guess the main pain-in-the neck issue is to clear her SVP/LTSVP. Marriage shouldn't be a problem liao. I guess, in the end, at most ICA will grant her, like in the past, a one month social visa and she has to return back to her country for another few months. From there you will need to re-apply her social visa thru repeated application and MP visits.

I myself work in the gov for 6 yr i know their cb taiji also. i already expected this. nvm i will just slowly work my way n see how. moreover i did told my girl it going to be 2 yrs b4 we settle down. which going to be end of next yr.

can u help to check if this girls are able to get married to a singaporean after they finish their work (finish work permit) in singapore if so how long before they can get married.
2nd is after they have termintate their work permit how long is the restriction before they can come back to singapore for social visit.
also maybe can check whether is there any other restriction when this girls sign the paper which they will have problem in the future marrying a singapore man.
ICA officer this is their internal policy and they cannot review much. so i was having alot difficulty talking to them. which i have already expected.

Then meanwhile, u just chop the short term social visit passes. Because it will take some while and some chops before you can make her social visit pass into a long term pass.
Govt policies as u know have been there for years. Wouldn't change because of 1 incident, or change for the better over the next 2 yrs
So for these 2 yrs, u can also judge for yourself what kind of person she is. And also a test of time to see whether u can withstand the pressure all around u.
I do heard of some ex-Cat40 girls came back to SG for short visits shortly after ORD. I also heard of those who kenna jail term after coming back.

my ex-gf's mum was a GL WL donkey years ago with a work permit. got to know her husband, who was married at that time, stopped working when she got pregnant by him, which is still ver debatable cos his daughter looked nothing like him. gave birth to her in jb, came over with the daughter to stay until he got divorced several years after. when my ex parents tried to get married in sg, they were told that she is not allowed to get married. forget about pr status, putting her name in hdb flat or a six-mth visa. she needs to get her passport chopped every 2 weeks. so no choice, the WL forced the husband to get married in jb so that she and the daughter can have a legitimate claim on his fortune when he dies. end up the husband stays in jb after he retired cos he only needs to chop the passport monthly.
an ex-colleague of mine also got to know an ex-WL a few years back, gave up his well-paying job, got disowned by his family. now they r living in KL and got married there. Not allowed to get married in SG, and not allowed to get another work permit in SG after the girl has taken a WL permit. she was asked to sign a declaration which is unfair and does not make any sense. the government might have some reason for it, but as usual we do not need to know about it.
however, my ex-colleague seems to be doing well in KL and they recently had a baby daughter, unlike my ex and her mum who r only interested in grabbing as much $ as possible. too bad for the sucker that they didnt have DNA testing then.
think whether it works or not depends on the couple, the reasons for being together. love will keep us alive or no money, no honey.
