Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

I arrived into Clark and took a Triangle taxi to the new Lewis Grand Hotel for 200peso.
Arrived and was greeted by a beautiful door girl. The white mercedes was always there.

Then the whole reception was abuzz trying to sort out my reservations and allocate rooms for me and my friend.
I did reserve 2 Poolside Special King rooms but the boss upgraded us to the next better category.
The manger(in blue long sleeve shirt) in charge further tried to upgrade us to a family room that had 1 Queen and 1 Single bed but we kindly refused and requested for any room with just a single King sized bed.

We recieved the keys and were escorted by the door girl and her partner the BellGirl.
First time in my travels i had a young n cute doorgirl n bellgirl carry my light bag.

When they opened the room doors (which had electronic keycard system), i was glad to have such a beautiful room.

Wardrobe had bathrobe, electronic safe and bed room slippers.

It's walkable maybe like 10mins or less to the nearest bar and about 15 plus to Fields Ave.
Hotel is on the main st so can easily get a jeepney to Checkpoint for 8pesos.
Yes the fares have increased and i heard from July it's going to be 9pesos.
Or u can take a trike to Fields Ave
Or hop into the complimentary pick up/ drop off provided by the hotel. Dun forget to tip the driver.....

to bro ah hia ....... sweeet hotel ....we were there on the 17th to the 20th this month ... we stayed in the royal amsterdam n i thought it was pretty ordinary.....except for the panoramic suite of course .

and to the rest of the bros ...will be posting our escapade (i.e bro alf98 , cheeky fella n a few other bro)'s short trip to balibago....sooo pls stayed tuned

Bro Ah_Hia next question is how much do you usually tip the jeepney driver? And how much is advised as the normal tipping rates for lets say the receptionist/security guard etc? Kindly advise i am not exactly sure about this!!! Need your help...

The Royal Amsterdam hotel is a very convenient hotel [just walk over to the Blue Nile and voilla...even if you are tipsy, no problem loh! or if your barfined girl runs away, no problem loh, just hop over and take another one

I dont fancy faraway hotels now.

BTW, the Royal Amsterdam Hotel is always being overbooked, during one trip, I was "thrown out" due to not confirming my extension of stay

1) What was the highlight of the trip?
2) Any Gems amongst the bars that you discovered? Hard to ask if any SYTS are gems cause by the time we get there we
3) What are the current rates for Barfines/Any changes/Tips to girls in the mornings?
4) Any nice mamasan contacts you have?
5) I heard that Roadhouse has a Refund policy if the SYT does not perform as promised or leaves earlier than promised? Ever heard of it?

Roadhouse somehow it never appealed to me. Road house FR

Yet i went inside. There were many SYTs on stage wearing something like school uniform while dancing on stage. Looked a pretty neat sight!!!

Now the music somehow does not seem to be of my type. And the dancing or whatever little movement the SYTs

There have been a lot of comments on the internet that Roadhouse is pretty bad especially the SYTs dance/unfriendliness of the SYTs etc.

Infact even if you sit at the bar there is still considerable distance from where you sit to where the SYTs dance. To each his own always. My friend thought it was bad. I thought it was ok. So thereyou go. Different strokes for different folks.

The service is generally OK. You are left on your own. No one generally bugs you. And if you have a GF/Wife this is a place you can take your GF to cause hardly any sleaze downhere.

There is a person who freshens up the air with an air freshner to keep the air pleasant smelling.

Let me post on the internet what i read on one of the websites (An Ang Mohs review on Roadhouse! Or who knows maybe the guy is the owner of Roadhouse!!! HAHA...maybe thats why he is singing praises of Roadhouse)

Firstly it is unique in AC, there is no other place like it in AC or in the Philippines. Love it or hate it, that is a fact.

Secondly, because it is run according to certain standards and because certain rules are enforced this means that you are less likely to get any hassles or game playing from the girls, staff, etc.

Thirdly, the customer always knows what to expect from a visit to Roadhouse. Many customers appreciate this bars consistency.

Fourthly, Roadhouse plays music for the customers not for the girls. Of course being from a younger generation the girls cannot really relate to the music so they have developed the line dancing or synchronized dancing (as it is sometimes called) routines. Whether you like this dancing style or not is merely a matter of personal taste.

Fifthly, when the girls are bought a drink they will often stay dancing then come down and thank you later. There are a number of reasons for this not the least of which is that they do not have an abundance of dancers as in some other bars so the girls will often choose to finish their 'set' or 'group' before coming down to talk to you. This way the stage stays active. Often they will wait for you to physically call them down. Doing it this way ensures that there is never any unwarranted pressure to buy ladies drinks. The down side of this is that the girls can sometimes seem aloof but in my experience 'seem' is the operative word here. When you get to know them a little bit, Roadhouse girls are anything but aloof.

Sixthly, the emphasis in Roadhouse is on drinking and partying on with the boys, whereas in other bars it is on the attainment of female companionship. Of course Roadhouse offers female companionship but the emphasis is not placed here. As Mark said some time back, Roadhouse is a drinking bar. In short Roadhouse is unique and it has carved out a definite market segment. Not everybody likes it but as the old saying goes 'you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time.' For every 1 person who doesn't like it there seems to be 2 who do, that is why it is one of the most visited bars in AC. Also a lot of the guys with money to spend tend to gravitate to Roadhouse.

The so called 'big spenders' like the atmosphere. I have had numerous discussions with Mark regarding Roadhouse and the bar business in general, suffice to say we do not always agree.

I however, have to give credit where credit is due. Roadhouse has been there for quite some time, it has developed a loyal following of guys who love the bar and spend good money there.

Lastly, there is also a high level of loyalty amongst the girls. Roadhouse 'is what it is' and always will be. The rest is up to the customer."

We being bar hopping all along field avenue.....from Blue Nile, Neros Forum, lollipop, Geckos, Pasha, Doll house, Alantis, Brown Sugar......all veri nice place to go....But the best from my experience still I voted best is Lollipop....Enviroment veri conducive close to the girls....Their girls selection are veri good veri accomodative...if U get a bad one just change lor.....BF 1300pesos standard.....for Alantis....I felt the girls abit stuck up.......pretty but for what......stuck up attitude....anticlimax onli!!!!. My current girl frend in lollipop by the name of Raguel....21 years old.....pweett.......brather Domz will know what I mean!!!!! Cheers guys!!!! All my Cheongsters agreed that AC still the best place to be!!!!

I paid 1419pesos for the room but they upgraded me to a better and bigger room.

Tip the jeepney driver ?? Never.
They are like our local bus drivers. tip for what ?
Just pay the normal fare of 8pesos per person. From July 1st i heard it's going to be 9pesos per trip.

I dun tip reception or guards. I just give them chocolates.
Room service 20-100pesos.
Waitresses in bar 20-50.
Waitresses in restaurents 50-100.
Bar girls 300-1000.

2) Gems are mine for the keeps ! Anyway, u'll never appreciate my treasure booty cuz to each his own.
3) Barfines still start from 1000p onwards. No changes as of the last increase.
4) Sorry, i dun contact mamasans.
5) Heard of it but i never tried cuz I already have a very hard time chasing them out in the morning.

Thanks for posting the link to the website. Now i know where Lewis Grand is. To be honest i walked up and down the road several times wondering what that buidling was. Now i know. To me Don Jucio Avenue is the best hunting ground to hunt birds with the crowd much lesser.

Dude by this question i meant how much do you tip the jeepney driver of the hotel eg., Ponderosa has a jeepney.. Their driver is very friendly. Long after i stopped staying there... he continued to greet us anywhere he spotted us...
