That reminds me of my last reservist...

I was doing lighthouse duty from 2am to 6am. 1am is my normal kooning time, so I knew I'd be very sleepy then.... so I loaded up on a lot of coffee until I was super awake.

My job was to identify all passing vessels and report to the duty officer via walkie-talkie. Since I was wide awake, I just did my job as per normal. KNN, sekali the duty officer personally climbed up the tower to find me and guess what he told me...

"Corporal, don't need to be so on lah, huh? This is reservist, just sit down and relax. I also want to rest lah. If I need you, I comm you, OK?"

So he went off. It was now 3am. 3 more fucking hours to go before my watch ended... and I couldn't sleep. Duty officer didn't want me to do anything. So I sat down and stared off into space for a while... and after half an hour cannot tahan anymore.

Fine, cannot sleep right? I make sure the *&^%&%^%$ officer can't sleep as well....

Started to report passing vessels again. This time, I didn't report them all at one shot. No, I reported one vessel and woke the officer up... then estimated when the duty officer about to fall asleep again... maybe ten minutes.... and then reported the next one!! Every ten minutes until the end of my watch Shiok sia....
