Man..should've visited LA cafe when I was there. But location a bit off since hotel in makati. Burgos's quality quite cui IMHO. Haha. I wondered if anyone successfully picked up girls in clubs such as Valkyrie? Do share your experience pls.

Never been to V, but been to other such places before ... long before.

Not much success, as the Atas girls expect guys who are dressed pretentiously .. and if you do dress great and is pretentious, you may have good chance.

Thanks for the inputs. LA cafe is a dog pound? But im probably interested because you mentioned "students" being in the daytime crowd , lol, specifically those that are there occasionally or rarely. Not those harden FLs of course. can probably tell just by looking.

putting all that aside, its more exciting fishing from dating sites, building rapport till they become your regulars and inviting them and their friends to clubs like Val, who knows what might happen under the influence of alcohol? Need a lot of time and effort though, and only feasible if you're stationed to work there for a period of time lol

Was reading on the PH cheong scene and sorry for the newb questions to come... I am thinking of flying to Manila during June for 5d4n... Got some concerns on the general safety of cheonging there...

Will be around MOA area, thinking of heading down to EDSA, do you guys bring back the girls you BF to the hotel you stay at or change another hotel? Cause I heard of scams where the girls make trouble to the police and end up causing the guy a very bad vacation...

How about transport and accomodation? Ideally I wanna get a hotel near MOA and was thinking of getting a driver rather than taking the taxi just to be safer.

1) What is the purpose of your visit ?
2) How much you plan to spend (approximate amount)
3) You really want to spend 5 day 4 night in Manila ? seriously ?

Why I ask the above questions.

Manila is a bad place for newbies, especially around election time, when Law and Order breaks down, regularly. And cops don't care any more till new leaders step in and fix things.

Manila has nothing much for 5 days.

Better choices are places outside Manila, like Palawan, CDO, Boracay and such. Places outside Manila are safer, and less of drama and scams, vs Manila.

Now to your other questions:

1) Street girls / freelance on We chat etc can be scam, And scams can be very innovative, like when you get into hotel, she may tell her friend, or take stuff and disappear and all.

Or, a stranger may get into the taxi and insist you have to let him travel with you as you will be safe with him. Scams like this, I have written a lot in other pages.

In short, anything can be a scam, even somebody suggesting you to a bar, end up bar bill become massively padded, a 30 peso drink can become 3000 peso and until you pay, cannot leave.

Generally, bar fine girls don't pull scams, as they are supposed to be under the reputed bars. But still, basic safety applies, use cheap phone, don't keep too much money, keep valuables in safety place. So far, Thank God, I never been ripped off, and hope to be like that.

2) Travel. Only those courageous (a few member here are pretty brave) walk around Manila, or take Public transport. Even busses have pick pockets, and all and more. I have no problem using public transport outside Manila, but somehow Manile still scares me a bit, and it gets a bit scary anyway, when I am alone, and when suddenly a few locals eagerly try to surround me and try to help carry my luggage and what not.

I have been to PH twice for clean leisure and have a bit of experience/understanding of manila in general, yes my radar was always on full alert when I was trying to get around from manila to provinces.

1) This time I'll be there for an event, I may patron down to makati as I heard P burgos offer better rates for nightlife and equally same enjoyment, but will overall I would have to be back in Pasay for most/all of the trip.

2) I have read from various sources that if I should prepare 1k SGD for my trip duration if I am wish to hang around EDSA/P burgos. Should be no issue, was just wondering how much cash on hand would be safe and sufficient to bring out during the night?

3) Haha, unfortunately, yes I might have to do that, unless I manage to get some off-pass/excuse to travel away from manila area as the event will be the main reason me and my friend will be there during the day.

Dont think I'll be doing wechat/freelance, read that its mainly for experienced bros and risky.
