I wouldn't recommend Nana Hotel because the rooms are dilapidated. There are several renovated rooms but majority of the rooms are infested with roaches and black ants! It's just a whore house!

My recommendation is New Grand Business Inn or Majestic Suites.

Ambassador ok? It's advertised too, almost as reasonable as your preferred location.

Ambassador is another old hotel, also they will charge joiners fee, if you bring a girl for a nightcap, they will charge another 600B.

My first choice is Grand Business Inn at Soi 11, next is Majestic Suites near Soi 4. Proximity of both hotels to Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza and Edens Club is close enough so you can walk!

But if your friend never been to Bangkok, I would suggest Nana Hotel because its directly across from Nana Plaza. Also lots of action at the parking lot after 10:00 pm!

Vmtech,

Forget about partying with your friends while visiting Bangkok with your girlfriend. Since you're staying only for few days, why don't you stay at a nice hotel near the river or Silom Road and visit all the fine restaurants and discos. Sukhumvit and Rachada area has too many dirty old men!

Hi bro,

I had stay in Grand Business Inn before. Not bad. But if I choose to stay along the Sukhumvit Road, and dun need those facilities e.g. swimming pool that can be find in the hotel, I will recommend 3 hotels:
1. Everich Inn (btw Sukhumvit Soi 5 and 7)
2. Majestic Suites (Sukhumvit Soi 4 - the nearest to Nana Plaza)

Had been staying in Everich Inn for the past 2 visits, and had been satisified with them. The room rate is either 1300B or 1400B. Choose the 1400B room, as for about S$5, you get windows, and bigger room.

Just my recommendation. As FYI, I really condemn Fortuna Hotel at Soi 5 as they overcharge me the last time, and for showing me the atitude. Luckily, I had discove Everich Inn.

We are still the 'fun young men'..

If our sourjourn in confirm in July will keep the rest inform. Norice, keep a look out for Nyquist... he may check into one of those hotels u suggest (I believe he's reading this thread).. I did suggest Ambassador but wasn't too sure of the place as I didn't put up there before. All my stays have been at Ratchada or upper Sukhumvit.

I agree with you Fortuna Hotel is a lousy place to stay, too many Japanese smokers. Also, the rooms are old and smelly! But they have excellent and cheap all you can eat Breakfast.

I never heard of Everich Inn, is that a new hotel? During my next trip to BKK, I will check the hotel out.

haha well im not staying a few days, im staying long time, im going to usa for a work trip and im returning to bangkok.

btw chanyboy, my ticket is scedhule on july 07. hopefully work doesnt cockup and postpone it! but at the moment ticket is booked!

Yes, I'll be staying at Palazzo for the duration of my trip unless someone wants to go to Hat Yai! I never been to Hat Yai and Im interested visiting Hat Yai even though it could be risky due to recent bombing. We need to live our life the fullest, able to accept risk to enjoy life!
