Re: Best Hotels in BKK
Quote:
One thing I would like to comment is that for most 4-5 star hotels in the central area(Sukhumvit, Silom), security is kinda a bit of tight. Not saying that the guards are damn on, its just that if they spot you having a female companion, they will probably ask for certain identity or an extra charge. The extra charge is more for them to actually earn some money. The identity check is for them to record if anything (touch wood) happens like stealing, etc , they will be able to help you track down the culprit. So in one way or other its quite safe. As for hotels in ratchada, its easier for ladies to go in. Not sure why, maybe Ratchada is notorious for its "sleaziness". Anyway, GG, the next time you are around in BKK, maybe drop me a call. We can maybe have a coffee or something. hahaha SC

Some allows you to rent for a day min while most actually requires a person to place a 2 months deposit plus 1 month rent Watana is considered a serviced apartment Serviced apartments which are more cosy costs around $10K baht per month at least. But for short stayers, I would still recommend a hotel. SC

One point I think cheongsters should be awared is that hotels like Novotel Siam and Pathuwan Princess are infested by Singaporean.....b'cos of their locations.
The last thing we want is to be seen by a "relative" walking hand in hand with a "PRO" into the hotel........ |

Windsor Suites hotel is a nice hotel, I had a 2 room suite on the 33rd floor, had 2 TVs! Unfortunately no guests are allowed after 10pm. Fortunately was only booked for one night & didn't have any company.. Suspect that if you bring a girl before 10pm, you can enter from the back entrance, where theres a cafe & by pass the reception. |

Hotel price alert
I know I owe some reviews on hotels and I was going to write up a review on the Conrad based on an upcoming stay planned. Unfortunately, I've decided against staying at the Conrad for financial reasons. On the former, I'll try to find the time.
However, in the interim, I present to you TAT's newest campaign: thailandsmilesplus.com Summary: Pay 1 night get another free. Net of taxes + ABF Best deals: J.W. Marriott and the Dusit Thani for US$70 (based on a 2 night stay). This is a good deal. Forget the rest. Giddly |
