my advice is to take your time.
marriage is for lifetime so wats the hurry to obtain the PR.
if both of you are genuine marriage your wife will eventually get her PR.
many PRCs change true colours after getting the PR so consider it a blessing the delay give you more time to see the "true" character of your wife.

The reason why i am getting PR for my wife
so soon becos she is unable to work right
now (on long term pass) and difficult to
get jobs on work permit.

Any one could advise if she could get a job

no point going down to ICA asking for reasons. it will be a waste of time.

1) go straight to MP.

2) the chance will be higher after married for 1year as i was told by ICA officer. you may want to wait a little longer. it just 2 months away.

3) you may consider having a child first if situation allow as that greatly increase your chance. that what one of my friend did. just give birth to a baby girl 2weeks ago. hope their application will be successful this time.

she can't work at all with LTVP. she need to look for a job and the employer will have to apply work permit for her. you can start by asking around those small business around your place. but seriously, the salary won't be that good as well as long working hours. you should know what i mean. also, you might be making things more complicated for her to hold a work permit. if i not wrong, this will bring MOM into the picture next time you apply for PR.

if she can speak some english, consider finding student for chinese tutition.

the best she can do is reapply again after 1year of marriage. in the mean time, help her to improve on her english. that will help her alot in the long run.

There are a few things that ICA looks for before granting PR. Essentially, they look for a few indicators - like educational level, and their profession.

I suggest that you can work on the educational part amongst other things.

1 of my close bro PRC wife also got rejected a few times. She didn't have a U degree. It is a matter of time.

Criteria changed oredi..... wat I understand from the grassroots people is that ICA now rank $$$ as no. 1 criteria..... if the hubby is from rich family or has high income tax returns then the wife surely approve even if she is only primary education and a farmer.

2nd most important criteria is birth of a SON (must be register as sg citizen) then the mother will be fastrack to be given PR approval and citizenship..... birth of daughters got no priority, the mother will have to go through the normal procedure.

As far as I know this is the latest sop that ICA is following.
