I think we got to accept the fact that if we will to take on a "life partner", all her liabilities (including her family problems) and assets will come with it.

If the partner we chose is from a less developed or "proverty country" like Thai, Indo, China etc then the chances is that she bring in more liabilities than asset with her into our life. But then she may be younger, sweeter etc as compared to the gals back home.

The "family problems" you mentioned is not unique only to the Thai lady I see many similarities with the many PRC gals too. I dont see much different in the PRC gals attitude toward their family fm what you have posted.

Looks like in order to avoid such problem we have to go one step further in researching their family before accepting her ??? That's crazy....

You reserach the family to accept the family not her. Because in the first place you already accepted the girl. Marry the girl and marry her family.

There is a Chinese Saying,

If you marry a Rich Girl, you work less 20 years.
If you marry a Poor Girl, you work extra 20 years.

I would like to add extra 2 lines in.

If you marry a Poor Girl with a "Problematic Family", you have to work extra extra hard till either they die first or you die first.

Money is the key and links to many things including "relationships".... the family factor you focus on is ultimately buoy down to money.

If we have lots of many it, the "family" factor will be so neligible to be of concern.

Unfortunately this is true unless we resolve back to barter trade. Back to the cavemen hunting days. Got think b4 go a poor village marry a young girl give her good life but is this love? I think not.

'Heroes' die young but there is no end of heroes in thailand. No lack of white knight to save damsel in distress.

Throw her a life jacket only to discover that her legs r entwined by her families' roots thereby pulling down your yacht with her cause u refuse to let go. Jump into the water to save her? The problem is does she want to save herself? She has a pocket knife with her and can cut off the roots anytime, no need us to save. However, pls know that she is not going anywhere if her family is still in the water.

Morale of story? I don't know also. Currently waiting for my beloved to swim towards me. I am in the water already and there r so many sharks nearby but I will never let go cause I love her. If necessary, I will cut off the rope and die with her.

The "family" means alot to those WL and bodes down to their upbringing and culture. More like brain-wash to bring back $$ even through they known pretty well what those TG are doing!!!

In a typical province, there not much work to be done less tending the field, plantations, etc. Even so, it only seasonal. Thus when a TG whose back from the city, the gifts and present they bring back to their family and friends will most definitely wins the envy of those who have not been to the city.

This often entices those back in the province and mostly will follow the former footstep due to the temptations and chances to earn big bucks. And also not to mentioned those agents going around recruiting new TG for the trade (local or oversea, etc).

This vicious cycle is never ending as long as the $$$ keeps coming back to the province and the family. Who knows you might be the next contributor......:P

Neligible to be of concern? You have 50K, they ask from you 30K, if they know you have the fortunes equivalent of a bank vault, will they just ask 30K from you?
