Went to Black Caviar with a friend last week and it appears now the lowest price (S) is 5.5k baht. But the quality is pretty comparable to Maria. Only issue I have is how there's only one lift in the whole place.

Yah, I heard the same story from my Maria papasan about the top girls being busy at the VIP rooms. Actually all not true, many of the girls are taking a break because business is slow. Many of the China tourists are not coming because of safety concerns plus the economy is bad in China. Problem is that places like Maria got too aggressive in hiking up girl prices and now, the girls got too used to the high prices and will not back down despite having no business. True and not true, the bunch that can afford spend at Maria, i do not think they would be "affected" by economy etc etc. Gals are telling me they have many Chinese customers booking 5 or more gals in one session. Big generous spenders and they no need work as hard....so very telling when suddenly 20% of the gals all can speak a little Mandarin by now.

I spent the past week at BC & Maria and honestly, it seems that Maria is the one with with crazy pricing. Lots of plain janes among their PRM (15.1K baht). Even got one PRX (22.5K baht) , shorter girl with fake boobs and mild acne face really average lor (think the regular bros know who I’m talkin abt). Basically Maria is abt 1K baht more expensive than BC for equivalent category. Everyone’s taste is different but for me, BC has the better looking girls at the moment.

Also, as far as I know, Maria girls cannot leave without permission once they report for work. Maria has always been stricter with their girls although I know that certain PRM, PRL, PRX girls get special treatment from the big manager. BC girls have a lot more freedom, they are always walking to the bar counter and pouring themselves drinks and eating snacks in front of customers. Looks wise BC wins while Maria is better for service level.

As with most high-end businesses, only 30-40% of customers are recession proof. BC & Maria are so near each other that they have the same customer pool just like MBS & RWS serve the same gamblers. Both BC & Maria are now dead during the afternoons and early evenings. I spent yesterday afternoon at Maria and the girls were super bored, one or two looked like about to doze off. Then my BC pps also keeps asking me to visit, finally admitting business is down, now the weather is dryer so cannot BS that it’s raining so no customers.

Around 8.30pm then the China tourists will start coming in. Usually these guys come in large groups brought in by their tour guide or china agent who r on commission. All newbie types who keep checking the Maria or BC laminated white price list. Typical middle income types who are splurging because it is their one & only night away from their wives.

I encounter the same situation a couple of times as well. Same set of stories. I was wondering to myself whether its BS or not. The same situation in Black Caviar as well. The papasan is always suggesting to pre-booked the girls and the only way to pre-book is to look at the girls pictures thru the papasan's phone or they send it to your LINE. The point of going down is to look at the girls LIVE and not through photos that has been edited. Granted the difference from the photos and real person is not big. Fiwfans is way worse but it really defeats the purpose for me if i have to go down and look at pictures.

Makes me wonder whether most girls now come to work only when they have booking. If they have no booking they will just standby at home.

I think it’s a business confidence issue. Even though business is down, BC & Maria must keep projecting that everything is great otherwise the girls won’t be keen to come to work or new girls won’t join. Customers esp. the China tourists also need to feel that they are going to a place that is in great demand, similar to how nobody would want to eat in an empty restaurant. Plus, BC & Maria r rumoured to have borrowed big money so need to reassure their lenders.

Oddly, La Belle is seeing more business now so customers are probably moving down the price ladder and liking it. Also more China groups heading there now. La Belle boss is famous for being super stingy so unlikely to be paying any commission to tour guides/agents. The China tourists are probably getting smarter by ditching those leech middleman & going direct to the value for money places like La Belle. Actually there are quite a few gems in the La Belle model category (L & XL, 7 to 8.5K baht) that can rival the girls at BC & Maria. Even La Belle’s 4.5K baht P category has improved somewhat & is abv average now.

As for the girls that can only be booked via photos, that’s high risk lor. Imagine spending 15K baht on a plain jane that uses fake photos, damn sian. But getting more common, last time business was booming now there’s a lot more time wasted waiting for customers. These type of massage girls r also available via internet agents bookings which I suspect they prefer. Then these massage girls can pretend to be fresh newcomers & do less work by giving poor service because they r so-called inexperienced newbies haha.

Went to Maria on a long transit. Took a Grab as advised by bros instead of going on a taxi with commission.

One of the mamasans came over and took me into the fish tank and showed me the price list. The main area had the L, XL, XXL which were up to 10k. And then all the higher ends up on deeper in on separate sofas. Have to agree with the other bros that there is no logic behind which girls have the higher premium tag. Some of those VVIP levels were really chui.....

The quality on the whole though was really good and it was tough to choose. Went on a Sunday at 7pm so more than 40 girls to choose from. Facilities were great as well but I had an amazingly long walk from the fish tank to the room.

Picked one of the XXL for 9.5k and went to pay, had a heavy hint from the girl to tip the mama. Not sure how much so went with 100.... Luckily she didn't ask me to tip the cleaner as well!

Overall it was a good experience but I can't help feeling that it was commercialized. After your shot is down, out the door you go.
