be careful in foshan as there's still alot of tricksters and questionable ktvs there - better to go in a group of 3 ot 4s; and not advisable to venture out alone at night to ktvs, BBS.

i am a newbie and would like to seek advise from all who have been to GZ and Dongguan. i will be there for about 4 days from 15 april to 19 april. i have heard about Shanhu glory. For the latest update, is this stillthe best place to go? whats are the breakdown for the 'price list' like?

Your detail input will be valuable to my coming trip.

Seems like with the upcoming exhibitions in HK and Guangdong, more 1st timers are coming to this website for information...

The expats based there no longer have the time and drive to reply all the questions... Being one before, I could relate... Even the threadstarter has turned vegetarian ever since he left China... hahaha..

yup! and hotels and such are gonna sky rocket their rates soon. long distance transportation around the region also gonna up their prices soon. i rem got one time i was frequenting GZ and had been paying around rmb80 to and fro ZH. then one day, after the canton season, the price drop to rmb35.

According to the Guangzhou Daily, Liaoyuan Lu in FoShan is notorious for its dim lights and network of back streets running off it, with prostitutes - sometimes in their hundreds - lining the 200-metre street.

Then again, i never really like Foshan as its really inconvenient.. but any sort of transportation...
Often a day trip will be more than enough for me....
