Don't apply PR too quickly. Many PRC gals turn nasty, want divorce, split hdb flat after they got PR

Since you're married, you can wait for a few years to observe her before applying PR.

I think better to marry in China. In Sg, once you married, you lu-gi if there is a divorce. You will be sucked dry dry because of the laws still favours the gals. You need to give up 50% of your hbd flat, cpf etc plus paying monthly maintenance.

Also in China, next time need to divorce, it's much faster.

it has been 2 and a half years since my initial post.

during this period, the personal growth is enormous. and looking back at a few bros' words, they do reflect wisdom and truth.

the story is that in the end, I am not with her. during the many months after i came back, my ex-gf tried to win me back. over time, passion for the china girl gave way to logic, and i chose my ex-gf. the reasons were mainly, through the many months, 1) my ex-gf through chasing me demonstrated certain values which i appreciated 2) the china girl became reluctant to talk about the future, yet wanted to find ways to be together now (which i found hard to accept as i like to do long term planning).

having said the above, since making the choice, i have fallen under the burden of deteriorating another person's life. to this day, i still feel guilt. she is still boyfriendless today (i think i can understand, if i were her, it would be hard to find a guy similar to me [not say i am good!], unless she comes to singapore and encounters other singaporean men. in that instance, i suppose she may see me to be less unique and hence easier to forget i guess...). she has also taken up a job in a particular sector because i mentioned to her back then that i had just took up a job at a certain industry. i am moved by her action. well, anyway since then she has changed jobs. i wish her well.
