There is a lousy and yet expensive MP (my own perspective) inside Gideon Hotel itself that likely offer happy ending service.

There is also another massage shop that are nearby Batam City Hotel that may and may not offer happy ending too. Sorry,i cant pin point its exact location except to say its nearby Batam City Hotel.

Why i said it "may and may not offer" becos a friend of mine was offered special service on his 1st time there ,but not on his 2nd visit. And around the area you talked about,there are major limits. Most i knew who monger in Batam, rarely stays around that area.

Anyone might kindly provide a recent and precise update about the current situation about registering SIM cards in Batam?

Last May (duly reported here), my experience was "complex", so to speak. I had to go two times to Grapari to get my two SIM cards registered with my passport and working.

I undestand from some recent posts that the situation is better now? did the simplify the procedure? No more need to register the SIM for us foreigners?
Any difference depending on the operator?

I was there on the 17th of this month. I bought the SIM card at the mart outside the ferry terminal Harbour Bay beside the open carpark without having to register. The owner is a young chinese man and very friendly. But I was told by a salesgirl from other counter that the hi card is valid for a month usage and need to TOP up again to prolong the expiry
