Come on, relax abit. There might be some reasons that he doesn't wish to share around here.

For example, if my regular at TP shifted to other islands such as BL, BT, TB, there is a possibility that I will change island.

Why must you bother about wish other samsters wish to go? Just enjoy your trips to Riau. Happy Bonking.

Thank you for your recommendations on driver. But I believe that we can make this world a better place by showing better control over our tempers and usage of words.

If I wish to know about weird eating places, I can simply ask Batam Man. He should be a good tour guide.

By the way, there are alot of really seasoned samsters in this forum who know alot of places that even those drivers don't know. Ever try guiding a driver directions on how to get to a certain place?

By the way, the first time I went to the Cai Shen Temple, I was brought there by a Malay driver way back in 2001(I think). In fact, the Cai Shen Temple and another temple(got big Buddha) quite famous among Singaporeans(Aunties and Uncles).

Hello, some ppl who did not post much or just joined may also be lau jiaos hor. They may have cheong for 10 - 20 yrs liao and come in here to find new kakis to add to their group. 'Quite new' in this forum not necessary means he is a newbie to Riau islands.

He may have an unplesant encounter with the driver. Who really knows. Btw, how long you know ur driver har ? 20 yrs ? or 30 yrs ?

Sometimes, drivers are like ceweks. Depends on how you treat them. If you are generous with them, they will treat you fairly. No matter you know them for how long, there are bound to be differences.

Hi guys,

I am planning to go to BT on 12 november. Which is the weekend before hari raya. Are all the shops closed during that time? I read somewhere in this forum that all shops will be closed for the last 5 days of the fasting month.

Can somebody share their thought?
