Kind of like you logic. True enough, if one is afraid of being cheated, then do not have contact with them. This is a good, free and effortless solution.

I am in the same boat as you, in China all these ten over years, I was cheated by our own Singaporean in China, and not by those PRC ladies. Talk about being Singaporeans staying united, sigh.... We cannot avoid meeting Singaporeans overseas, now I try to have less contact with our own country men, if situation permits.

As for me, my company rented an apartment in nearby Dongguan for RMB900 per month. 2 rooms and around 1,250 sq. ft. Selling price at RMB250k. Hmmmm.....

I got one friend went to his prc gf's hometown, stay together with her family, make luv in her room ....... end up he spent over 20k in this gal and last year she said byebye to him liao! My stupid friend still sad sad until now!

It depends on whom you met... sometimes its an ego trip for them.. showing off their foreign "nabs".. sometimes its sincere. If they let you meet their family, relatives.. then likely they are sincere.

I had dinner at my prc gf village twice a year with her relatives... two tables of uncles, aunties, kids, cousins, almost the whole clan... and we meet up whenever some of them come to town (6 hrs train ride)...

So observe carefully... and you can tell after a few times outing to her hometown or village.

I just bought a condo, 15th floor, at Chang'tai, Fujian province... RMBK250 for 450sq ft... it is near the Centipede mountain resorts.. conservation area with lots of mountains and rivers.

I can't get a decent condo in Xiamen for RMBK500 few months ago.. prices are going at RMBK6~12 per sq meters (china uses sq meters) and there is one condo development opposite the famous Flower on Ocean KTV... a 1280 sq ft unit, 16th floor, costs RMB1.16 million. The road is HeXiang Xi Lu 2.

How decent is your decent?? Which location u looking at? What type of facilities u want? How many sqf u want? All these factors contribute to the price of the condo.
