Was there last night after the Singapore v Thailand soccer game... Yup place was empty. Not a regular to TD2 as my friends and I rather hang around J-dee. But had to add these few lines cos that tattooed chick is really HOT!!!

Yes, GM is rather quiet nowadays, but not surprisingly as patrons are now spoilt for choices when it comes to frequenting Thai joints as more Thai bands are popping up around our lil island.

after havin been to the few thai joints(to which r in my knowledge) i personally feel GM still hosts the better joints.. the bands.. the djs... the crowd.. the feel... personal feelins.. heheh.. havent been to check out OT yet.. have been advised that itz becomin much very like GM2 of singapore..heheh..

Proud to say that I can count with both my hands the number of times I've been to OT - and still have fingers left over...

My take on the place is that it's a nice place to pick up girls or lady boys (somtimes you can't tell after several drinks). To chill out and just soak in the atmosphere, I'd take GM anyday... Also GM has far fewer rowdy farangs who go stupid after a few beers... Best of all no damn Marines or sailors...

OT & GM have different product offers, customer niches. Like CNA vs CNN. Have been around the (OT) block more often than I would like to.. Even some GL WLs come packaged in expensive wrappings. As for farangs, hard to generalise but I have met some nicer guys even.

Btw, any bros can advise if there are any nice bars with thai music to accompany 1 non-WL tg visiting this weekend? How's Ibarr (MS stretch)? Another samster told me (this was 2-3 months back) there is some thai band/music at No. 1 Fullerton.. sounds too hi so.

Ibarr.. alot of retro music.. top40s, thai & chn songs frm band..

the 1 at fullerton.. not really been there myself.. but heard itz quite a beng joint.. rather similiar to GM joints... bt the way.. it sld be BabyFace.. if i'm not mistaken..

perhaps u can try Live Impact as well.. band n music there .. quite ez on the ears.. very simliar to Ibarr music.. but ... IMO... i prefer Live Impact..

Absolutely, different strokes for different folks. I hope my comments on OT was not too negative. The OT crowd vs the GM crowd is just totally different. My preference in GM is rooted by the fact that my friends and I like to hang out there. As for the farangs, yes, it's unfair to generalise, but like in my preceding paragragh in reply to bro deuter, their idea of going all out for fun can be pretty annoying when you're outside that group.

I think the Fullerton joint you're talking about is Babyface... Dunno never been. But last I remembered Geographer was a pretty non-FL 'friendly' place.

The traveling schedule was pretty hectic. Adventures, perhaps over a couple of beers... But no adventures in the LOS since my Chiangrai trip in May even though I did stop over Bkk several times on transit.
