Visited Fortune Spa, after one year absence from the place. Fortunately the GRO still recognised me after the usual salutory of hugs and kisses, she enquired about my long absence from Fortune.

I was surprised my favourite therapist - Citra No 89 is still working at Fortune. As for the most beautiful girl 88, she sort of left a couple of months ago.

I was given a series of numbers strongly recommended by some Indon friends, 37, 25 - Selly, 63, 65 - Dewi and 92- Nita. Shit all those mentioned were either on off or working. FInally settled for 117 - Linda, a nice looking chick from Lampung Sumatra. Friendly and talkative. Massage was strong and I enjoyed it. Kempinski is near to Fortune. 3 - 7 pm is a good time to be at Fortune.

The Ritz-Carlton is not located in a particularly good area for cheonging. I would recommend the following places.

1) Take a trip to Fortune Spa, it's quite close (about 10mins) by taxi, just behind Le Meridien Hotel.
2) Check out the clubs around Blok M or CJs at Mulia Senayan or BATS at Shangri-La.

If you're feeling brave and the Jakarta traffic doesn't drive you nuts, then you should definitely check out Kota which IMHO is the best place for action. You can't go wrong with the 2 places below but be warned that they are rather high end and quite expensive even by Singapore standards.

3) Malioboro Hotel and Spa, Jalan Gadjah Madah
4) Alexis Hotel, Ancol, North Jakarta. NB: this place is quite far from your hotel and so may take you quite a while to reach by taxi. If you can stomach the overcrowding, take the TransJakarta Busway (yellow and red bus) to Kota and grab a bluebird taxi to the hotel. You will save time and money.

For consolation you are not that far away from the cheong sites.
Fortune Spa with all the plus plus is a stone throw from your hotel. With good traffic, you can be there in less than 10mins.

If you want to venture out further to kota, its a mere 20 - 30mins by cab.

You have plenty of choices,

Malioboro Spa and Club - Along Gajah Mada
Sparks - In Mangga Besar
Suncity - Opposite Jayakarta Hotel
Travels - Mangga Besar
Classics - Pasar Baru / Kerot
Illegals - Hayam Muruk
V2 - Along Gajah Mada
Emporium - Pecenongan
Golden Crown - Glodok
Sands - Mangga Dua

There are just so many .........
But the closest one is still Fortune.

For a bit of music, Ritz Carlton has a pub at the basement with live band etc. Its called Mystere.

Not too far from your hotel along Gatot Subroto/ Jl Denpasar Raya is Delta Spa. Quite happening place.

If you want a more classy pub you can try Dragonfly which is less than 2 km from your hotel.
