The International Star Rated Hotels are petty expensive. If u chose the Local Star Rated Hotels, it is sometimes half the price.

If u willing to consider Local, Purple Mountain Hotel is not too bad, a Five Star rated hotel (around RMB1,200++ per night). It is located at Lau Shan Lu (just opposite Baoshan Hotel (Four Star rated), beside 96 Guangchang, behind Huadu Building). Its just 5 minutes walk to Zhangyang Lu (where Yaohan Shanghai is along that road, 15 minutes walk from the recommended hotel).

Just got back from a trip to SH. Day time schedule was not so tight but the nights' were jammed pack. On the average, every night only got to sleep past 2 am. A little FR as follow:
