Well, in general they are ALL the same la. indeed. lol learnt my lessons long way back when I was green. thats why I stop chionging for quite sometime even went to china to "date" one of them.

they did their job of being a good host thats all , nothing else. cut short my stay and

Think about it, it's better than you came back empty-handed than to be stuck in a relationship which you may face tons of problems trying to maintain, not to mention the monthly maintenance that you'll be remitting, plus the (more than) occasional additional fund requirements. Be glad that the ML friend did not deceive you and pretend to maintain a relationship with you.

It's a general comment to remind myself and some other bros that end of the day most (not all, to be fair) of them are the same, best to manage some of the unrealistic expectations some of us might have on these MLs.
