From my 2 years stay in Japan, I never seen any chikan before. But I do heard incidents about it, usually happen during peak hour where people being squeeze like sardine cans.
The most unusual incident I seen is a couple that was i think sexually aroused with each other that they kept kissing, groping private part and whispering to each other (maybe dirty words to spice things up). It happened during the last train ride so not a lot of people but still handful were watching.

I was in Saikyo Line from Ikebukuro, it was packed like sardines, the train staffs from outside were pushing the passengers into the trains, this petite Jap girl with thick make-up was pushed and squeezed onto me, behind her were few Japanese men. I had enrolled myself in an English language school in Kobe to improve my understanding of English. Despite the extra classes, I was not progressing as quickly as I hoped, so I ask the school for a tutor. The school only had two foreign teachers available. He was staying alone in a one-room apartment. We had to sit on the floor to study, as he had no table or chairs in his room, only cushions. We had a good lesson that day and I paid him before I left.
On my second visit, he seemed to be touching my hand a little too often, and when I was concentrating on reading, I felt his eyes on my body. It felt like he was undressing me with his eyes and I did not dare to look up. After the class I paid him the money. I felt uneasy at the manner in which he looked at me.
On my third visit, I felt very uncomfortable going to his place but the appointment had already been made and I did not want to break
my promise. He welcomed me in as usual and I took my books out to prepare for the lesson. He had written a few questions for me to answer and instructed me to work on them while he went to the washroom. The toilet was behind me.

Well it depends on where exactly you go to. I lived in shinjuku before for a whole summer and fall. I hung out at a few shady areas where girls literally go there to get wasted wasted. im not sure whether it is film or real. The guy penis is blurred (mosaic) so this is meant for circulation or sale in Japan.
