AWARE sex education in school

Hi Bros dun know whether this is the right place to post this, anyway I think this is the most suitable place

Recent press reports about ‘comprehensive sexuality education’ (CSE) programmes conducted in schools by AWARE that endorse homosexuality and anal sex as ‘normal’ or ‘neutral’.

For example some statements from the current CSE programme (as reported in "Nothing 'sneaky' about elections", Sunday Times, 26 April 2009, Prime page 6) include:
• Anal sex 'can be healthy or neutral if practised with consent and with a condom'.
• 'Avoid using the term 'husband' and use 'partner' instead, so it is more inclusive. For example, 'homosexuals have partners, not husbands'.'

It is quite unbelievable they are teaching this kinda of things in school


If you are a parent what are your views about this?

they are people, but it does not mean it should be passed down to our children
If my children turned out homosexual then So Be It, but you DON'T give them the idea that homsexuality is "OKAY" at a young age.

I don't see whats the big hoo-haa over saying that anal sex can be healthy or neutral if used with a condom. Seriously,nowadays kids have access to porn tru the internet. Isn't it better for educators to let these students know that safety measures can be taken to reduce risks (infection due to microorganisms in fecal matter or STDs) rather than be ignorant about it and let them learn from porn videos (how many porn videos show people using condoms!? minority?) ? And why should anal sex be a 'negative' word? There is nothing wrong in being truthful about sex.

And I think the word 'partners' is appropriate for school education. These students definitely can't be husbands and wifes too right?

What is the point of denying that homosexuality exists? Perhaps some of them are really mentally confused, but I'm sure there are some that are naturally like that. How would u feel if you were a homo and people come around telling you that there is something wrong with you? What is immoral about being a homo?? Its not like these people have a choice right?! I'm quite sure if it was a choice, people would definitely choose to be heterosexual. Who would want to belong to a group that is so widely discriminated against right?
