It has already been a known fact that Thai WLs often use emotional tricks to con men out of their money. To the men, losing money is small, but the heartache gained from the relationship is something not many can get in today's real life society.

There are already many threads talking about the pitfalls of falling in love with a WL. There are many stories talking about how these WL con for a living. With the story from The Private Dancer by Stephen Leather, many people already knew what the Thai WLs can do.

But today, I am not going to go into the discussion of these WLs in the above aspects. I am going to talk about the reasons as to why these WLs have to work in this trade.

Wait a minute, its about money right? Of course its more or less going to revolve around the topic of money. But then again to what purpose is this money being used for?

It mainly boils down to FAMILY, FAMILY, FAMILY.

For those with tiraks before or now, you will realise that most often than not, there is a serious problem which is not being discussed. We were often hyped up with their tricks, KCs so on and so forth, neglecting the reason why they use all this tricks for.

And of course this time IN THIS THREAD, I prefer not to "condemn" the WLs anymore. That part, you guys can go to the Private Dancer Thread. Its now time to bring out the knives and see the real culprits being laid on the butcher's table.

Some may get offended by the comments I am going to make on the families of the WLs. I hereby put a disclaimer for it first, not every family in thailand is like that. Of course, this thread is not going to paint the WLs in a better light. It's going to bring out the root of the WLs problems. Their FAMILY.

I am sure those with tiraks, you going to realise soon why you are in so much agony over such a relationship.

I will first deal with the "superficial" part of this thread before going more in depth as days go by.

Ever wonder why Thai Girls work in the trade?
For money definitely. If not for orgasm?
So what we going to think about is what is the money actually meant for?
I would say 95% of them actually does this for their FAMILY.

So since the majority is on the FAMILY, we shall talk about the FAMILY.

What common characteristics does the FAMILY have?
2 parents, couple of brothers, sisters. Normal? Not really.

The thai girl that works often is the only one out of the whole family working in the flesh trade. Even with a couple of sisters, you will realise that she will be the odd one out providing the most dough. Fillial Piety or Plain stupidity? I leave it to you guys to judge.

Does the Family knows their daughter is working in the flesh trade?
Sometimes I would say they are trying to act stupid when they think their daughter is doing a decent job and giving them 5 figure amounts monthly. Which job can get that kind of money when they do not have the money to give their child a good education?

What does the Family do with so much money actually since it comes in every month?
Money earned have to be spent, not kept in the bank. Buying a new land, build a new house, buy a new car, more funds for gambling, more money to show off to other villagers, and of course FACE.

I am not a Thai by birth, so I can't really comment on what type of upbringing Thai kids are brought up when they are small. The kind of culture they are exposed to.

Maybe let me pose a simple question. If today in Singapore, your parents racked up huge amount of gambling debts, will any of you (in the shoes of a daughter) go into the flesh trade to repay all the debts?
Supposedly, some will answer YES. No qualms about it. Everyone makes mistakes, so once in a while, to help and start all over again is part and parcel of life too.

But then since help can come once, the indulgent parents go for more gambling and chalking up more debts (which is most often the case), will you still continue in the trade?
This time the question becomes clearer. Clearing debts doesn't mean helping, it means causing them to go down even further. But to a Thai girl, she simply will continue being in the FLESH Trade, to bring her family out of poverty( which in this case is self-made)

Sometimes these families got to thank their lucky stars for letting them have a decent looking daughter or even a pretty one. If their daughter is ugly, the more years of hardship they got to follow.

Money to help the brother who gambles and doesn't have money to pay debts. Money to buy a car. Money to maintain the motorcycle. Money here money there.

On the contrary, the more money you have, the more money you need to pay them and it seems like a bottomless pit.

Check the keywords. MONEY MONEY MONEY $$$$. The international language that anyone will understand even if you don't understand THAI. Another keyword, FAMILY.

We've been taught since childhood to despise prostitution as an immoral conduct. But the reality is poverty, or intense poverty, can often breach that moral threshold. With the ingress of easy money, materialism rears its ugly head, and luxury once tasted then becomes a necessity.

Many a time I wonder why the guys prefer WLs and not the ordinary thai girls with a decent job as their tirak. If you've been to the shopping departmental stores, such as Robinson in Bangkok, you will notice that some of the girls are quite pretty too. Not forgetting the hotel receptionists too.

this topic has been broached briefly in the Stephen Leather thread. kudos to SC for making it into a whole topic by itself. as he mentioned, all bros who ever have had thai tiraks will identify with all he mentioned.

in my opinion its always been a learning process bring with TGs. more so with WL as they are all from villages in the poorer parts of thailand. thus their sense of family piety is very strong. to them any sacrifice is worth it as long as their familiy is well taken care off. the most important figure is their mother. they do not have to be the oldest to bear this responsibility - just the one with the ability to rake in the most bahts. i think its part of their social more.

a friend once told me once his TG fg gets a call from her family in the morning her mood would change. as usual they will be asking for money. they only to perk her up is that he offers to "chuay" (help). its a never ending cycle. one has to be aware that if you are with a TG WL, the family is part of the package.

I second to that.

I am sure we are not poor but not welled off. If given the sudden wealth, what would you or your family do? It does happen in Singapore. Many sad cases you read in the newspaper. We are human afterall... Greed!

Prostitution is one of the oldest trade around. Not only in Thailand you find them, in proverty countries like Cambodia, Vietman, Indonesia etc... Singapore not very common. Our goverment able to provide better standard of living, education and growth for the economy. Our women received better education than them, able to find work and be independent.

But sad for them, their country not so well-off as us. Women not treated equally, opportunities not abandon. Their economy not as strong as ours, given normal jobs they still earn much lesser than us.

Nobody wants to be poor, but you can't choose to born with the rich.

Bless ourselves for having good life now. Never know what will happen if we are like them. So don't compare and be proud. What won't know what hold for us in the future. Just be humble and live peacefully.

Its not why we prefer WLs. Its because we go for cheonging, thats why we kenna. Some form of a karma. Good or Bad depending on how you see it. As usual the knowing of the TG is not so much of a problem. The real problems surfaces when you get to know the FAMILY.

And of course, the bigger the family, the more problems you see. And most often than not, these problems can be settled easily with $$$. The more $$$ you have, the more problems you can settle.

The objective of being in the Flesh trade is for the $$$. The motive to earn more $$$ is for the FAMILY. The appetite is huge. Imagine the FAMILY in thailand can use more money than a typical SINGAPORE Family use. So much for the low cost of living, the so called exchange rates.

How much is ENOUGH?
