Correct, if it were me I wouldn't set up shop in the heartlands either. A lot of kaypoh uncles and aunties and YPs trying to make their way in.
Bugis village has one, lucky plaza has a few outside and inside, far east plaza has 1 or 2 at level 2 and peninsula plaza has one on the first floor just next to the taxi stand. Those are all I can remember.. Only ventured in once or twice but as these shops are located where I often get my tattoo fixes quite impossible to ignore.

No the nearest shops to Woodlands are the ones located at Bukit Timah Shopping Centre at Upp Bukit Timah. Two shops there one small and one quite big.
