Thumbs up Limpeh FT is full of nonsense.

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

Limpeh FT go compare Singapore's fair consideration framework with UK's system. UK so huge and whole of EU (740 million people) is actually considered home market. Isn't it obvious that they will have no issues finding people so they can afford to be stringent in hiring foreigners outside of this EU?

Singapore leh? 5 million people. If we follow UK, we're doomed.

This Limpeh FT like no brain sia, no wonder calvin cheng go shoot him. (SEE BELOW)

"The Online Citizen is sharing an article from Limpeh FT stating that the Government's Fair Employment Framework is wayang and compares unfavourably to the UK's labour laws that seem similar but are a lot more stringent.

This comparison is moronic.

The crucial point of Limpeh FT's article is this sentence :

"Don't forget that because we have freedom of labour within the EU, this means that the home market can be defined as the whole of the EU rather than just the local area (eg. South Somerset, the Scottish Borders, Central Bournemouth or North Manchester) where the job is available"

That is a population of 740 million. If you search within 740 million people and can't find anyone suitable you might as well go fly a kite.

More importantly, it also means a Romanian, Spaniard or a Greek also qualifies to work in UK and NOT be considered a foreigner.

But obviously they are.

What a load of nonsense."
