This ought to be front page news!! Hope nothing happen to him!!
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
Jurong West Secondary School (JWSS) vice-principal, Pushparani Nadarajah, has openly criticised the Singapore Ministers that say that “every school is a good school”. The VP had said “How many of our leaders and top officers who say that every school is a good school put their children in ordinary schools near their home? (Only) until they actually do so are parents going to buy (it)." in front of about 200 people at the Asia Education Expo (AEX) 2013. Upon hearing this, the crowd had applauded the vice prinicpal’s remarks. Most of the children of Singapore’s Ministers are enrolled in or attended the ‘elite’ schools in Singapore. It is not until they walk the talk that people will really believe them. As long as they continue to enrol their children into elite schools on one hand while telling the public that every school is a good school on the other, the probem will never truly be solved. By claiming that every school is already a good school, they are in denial and may not take the necessary steps to rectify a problem that they do not fully acknowledge. JWSS is a government school located in the Pioneer region. In 2012, 41% of express stream students qualified for JC. 95% of the students from the express stream qualified for Polytechnics and 75% of the normal stream also qualified for poly. On social media, people have shown their support for the comments made by the VP: Click here to view the whole thread at www.sammyboy.com. |
