Woman arrested in relation to theft at Sentosa Cove 'death bungalow'

By AsiaOne

A Sentosa Cove bungalow where a Chinese national died in 2010 is now part of a police investigation for theft in-dwelling.

Shin Min Daily News reported that a woman in her 40s has been arrested for suspected theft in the luxury waterfront bungalow along Ocean Drive house.

Reports state that the police received a call at 9am yesterday (Feb 9) requesting assistance at the bungalow.

Shin Min Daily News understands that a $27,000 Bvlgari watch belonging to the resident was missing.

According to the paper, the man residing in the house is a Nigerian man who looks to be in his 40s.

The suspect is currently assisting police in their investigations.

Residents told Shin Min Daily News that the man often held parties at home. One of the residents also said that he rarely greets the neighbours and would usually bring female friends home.

This particular house was in the news in 2010 when the naked body of 24-year-old freelance KTV hostess Li Hong Yan was found in the swimming pool.

She was taken to the multi-million-dollar home on March 24 by founder of realty-investment firm Roundhill Capital, Mr Adrian Chua, a patron whom she had hooked up with while moonlighting at an Outram Road nightclub.

The New Paper reported that Mr Chua sold the 8,049 sq ft 'death bungalow' that year after the incident to two brothers, Mr Mark Poh Seng Kui and Mr David Poh Cheng Seng, for $13.6 million.

Ms Li's drowning was later ruled an accident.
