Do you Neglect your Family whilst Cheonging?

Hi Brothers,

I am putting up this thread for general discussion and inviting our brothers to share with us if any of such incidents you have had encountered before whether it is yourself, your friends or cases that you have heard of.

I think this would be a valuable advice to us and the younger Samsters especially those who are still single.

My belief is while we are having fun anywhere out-there, we should not neglect our family, and we have to be responsible to our wife and children. Because at the end of the day when we get older and when we decided that it is time to tone-down or have enough of CS activities, we can only find real happiness and support from your family.

Let me start with this one, an old friend of mine during my NS days from 1974, he was my Platoon Commander and one day he took us to cheong HC, GL and to JB LSB, etc. After his ROD, we didn’t meet each other until 3 years back I met him in Chinatown to my surprises he still can recognize me.

Okie, to cut it short, I have kopi with him and noticed that his wife had divorced him and he is now living on a monthly allowance given by his daughter, and he rented a room from a friend and is living alone.

Previously, he continues to choeng GL, KTV, HC, etc. and he also keep a mistress in Batam and bought a house for her and the worst thing was after he collected his CPF saving at the age of 55, he abandoned his family and went to stay with his mistress in Batam. After a couple of years when he has completely spent off his money, his mistress chased him out the house and one of his legs was broken by the mistress’s local lover.

Since then, he returned to Singland but his wife refused to accept him and he is now regretted what he had done but it is too late. So don’t let our small head overruled our big head.

For matter of clarification, I was trained by the Regular Army at that time and my PC was a regular soldier.

Wow ...this kind of story i thought i read it in some bs PAP propagandas on keeping our CPF money....it really happen !!!!

True, I have a mud barber who at age 60, sold his 5-room HDB, divorce wife and give half the money (from the house sold) to wife and kids and take cash to Batam to be his mistress and retires.

3 years later, saw him at the same barber shop after i got back and the story sama sama. sad fuck...

True, logically he still have got a house in Batam but according to him, legally he have not becos the house is registered under the name of his mistress. It is a dame sad case and what a stupid thing he had done.

I believe there are many similar cases happened down there, and he is one of the victims.

So MMs are not the only one who got Black Hearts, Minas also the same so are the Puyin etc.....

Here's another sad case:

One of my colleagues, an Indian National who had retired at 60 in year 2001, his wife had dead many years ago and he has only a daughter who has married and stay with her husband who is working in NY. So after his retirement he became a millionaire back in India. He bought land and builds his own house, etc and due to loneliness and a need of a companion, he remarried (at the age of 60). But less than 2 years later we received news from his daughter that her dad had past away and was extremely surprised that his dad has written a will in which her step-mother is the sole inheritance of all the properties owned by her father.

For what I’ve heard whether it is a rumors or not, in India there are these people who schemed to marry those Indian man who have return to India after retirement from work or business and poison them in order to get all life time earning.

Before I start cheonging, I thought this sort of things only happen to un-educated (lower class executives like me) cheongsters who let their small head rule their bigger head thinking dat cheonging is more important than family / frens. Only when I start going to Tg.Batu and those elderly folks told me their sad stories, then I realized this sort of things happens more to those who are richer or higher class ppl (lawyers, executives, MDs etc). Maybe they got too much $$$ to spend ?

At the end of the day, smart ppl are not necessarily smarter than stupid ppl.
