Thumbs up Girl Posts Suicide Selfie, Tells Ex: "I Will Haunt You Day And Night After I'm Dead"

Shanghai girl posts 'suicide selfie', tells ex: 'I will haunt you day and night after I'm dead'

Photos of a Shanghai girl on Instagram who is rumored to have killed herself by jumping off a building following a bad break-up have been circulating across China's social media with much debate.
One of the last pictures posted on her Instagram, which mostly details her relationship with her ex-boyfriend and photos of herself professing her love for him, is a chilling image of her feet dangling off the edge of a tall building, ready to plummet into the busy roads below.

An image of herself posted a week ago features the accompanying caption, translated by Chinasmack: It’s been 12 days since the break up. I’ve gone out, had meals, watched movies, drank, sang KTV with all sorts of guys, and any one of them is more handsome than he is, richer than he is. I say this only to prove that it isn’t that I can’t find guys better than him, much less me thinking him so good looking, so rich. There are a bunch of men with good circumstances around me, as friends who know me all know. It’s just that my heart is unable to accept anyone else. Every time I go out [with them], I end up crying. I force myself to smile, I tell myself “the most important part of being a person is to be happy”, I constantly hypnotize [deceive, convince] myself, but in the end I can’t hypnotize my heart. I don’t understand, if the one you choose isn’t me, why did you give me this much hope/expectations, give me this many promises? If you never thought of having a child with me, why did you let me think of a name? He said before that if his mother doesn’t agree to us getting married, he will date [remain as a couple] with me forever, getting married when we are old. This really is the most romantic words of love I’ve ever heard in my life, but it was also a lie. All of this I cannot forget, can never forget, unless I die.
Another photo of her ex-boyfriend reads: "I never thought that you’d deceive me,but I still can't stop loving you"

While they were still together, the couple used endearments like "wifey" and "hubby" to address each other, according to WeChat conversation transcripts on her Instagram. When she dropped and scratched her mobile phone, he wrote: It's okay baby, as long as you're fine. Even if you smashed a few more mobile phones, I'll still be able to afford it...let me know your address, and I'll buy you a new one
After the break-up, she posted a photo of all her possessions from the relationship being burnt on her bed, with the caption in English written as "let it burn, all the things like ashes float away". On March 7, a chilling post reads: "After I'm dead, I will haunt you day and night, I will never be apart from you again."

Text along with a photo posted to mop.com claims that she had indeed fallen to her death, although her identity could not be confirmed.
