Story: The bubble tea business

I have decided a start a new story. hope to get all your support just like in the previous story.

Chapter 1: Background

"What do u want for dinner?" My husband, Jack calls from the living room.

"Just buy some noodles from the coffee shop downstairs!" I replied feeling annoyed by my husband's question. Our new house is still in a mess after shifting in today while my husband only thought abt food.

I finally managed to finish opening up all the boxes and stuff all mine and my husband clothings into the cupboard. I took a glance at my watch and became shocked. It already 8 plus. No wonder, my husband is hungry.

It alright if my husband don't eat but my 2 kids must have been straving. I search around my messy room for my wallet and managed to find it at the dressing table.

"Oh no, my wallet is left with the final $500 and there is no more money inside my bank account." Looking at the last $500 reminds me of the misfourtune that happened recently.

My husband was a taxi driver. In a unfortunate accident, he was involved in a 3 cars crash. Now, because of this accident, we had to sell our condo that we have bought with our hard-earned savings and compensate the parties involved. And because of the compensation, the praties decided to let the incident go and not bring my husband to court. Originally thought of giving our kids a better life but now this had to happen.

After paying the compensation, we had hardly any left. If not for Ken's lending us his house, we wouldn't even have money to pay for the rent of a new house. Btw, Ken is my husband's good friend and he is also a taxi driver.

I had never liked Ken. He always look at me like never see gal before. How I had wished that the person involved in the accident was Ken and not my husband. At least, Ken would be not be in such a dire situation as we. His parents had left him a huge fortune and as he is a single, he did not have any commitments. However, if not because of him helping, my whole family would properly have to stay in the park and sleep on the benches. I could only say this is a big joke that god play on me. Letting the person I hate to help me.

Jack is a good husband. I have been with him since 16. Beacuse of playfulness, we have a kid not long after and I got no choice but to marry him due to our parents' scared of losing face. I quit my studies and concentrate on my pregenancy. However, althought ours was a shot gun marriage, Jack had treated me well and had worked had to provide for me and the kids after he finsihed his NS. It was also becuase of his hardworkingness that we managed to buy the condo. But now, haiz..........

Come to think of the bad things that have been happening, my tears started to flow. Jack was originally working in a factory and had because of his years of experience, he had come to command a comfortable salary to provide for us. However, due to the his company not doing well, he was retrenched. He started to look for a new job but because of his low education and highly high age, the employers would rather employ the newly grads. Although driving taxi is not his prefered job, but due to no choice, he became a taxi driver.

"Ding dong" the bell rang. I came out of the bedroom to open the door. It was Ken and he brought us food.

Jack immediately invited him and take a seat.

"Jass, do u all still need anything?" Ken asked me.

"Nothing. I would like to thank u for helping us. When we start earing money, we will pay u rent." I prepared for dinner by laying the food that Ken had brought.

"Forget about the rent. Jack is my good buddy. His problems are mine too. Come, sit down and discuss how we overcome this problem." Ken replied.

"No, thanks. I still got to pack up all the stuffs." I would never want to socialise with him and my reply just come out naturally from my mouth.

"Come and sit and dicuss about what we can. Leave those packings later. The future is more important." Ken sound enthusisatic to help leaving me with little choice to reject. However, i was wearing a spag top and a short. Thinking of when I opened the door just down, how Ken stared at my tits, I would never want to sit down near him and chat with him.

"Wat to dicuss, a job is so hard to find and my license had been been suspened." My husband replied as if he had lost all of morale. It pains me to see my husband like this and I decided to sit down to give him some support.

To be continued........

Re: Story: The bubble tea business

Continued..............

"We also not sure what the future beholds and what we can do." I said thinking what has my husband and my family's future got to do with Ken.

"Isn't your daughter, Jolin going to graduate soon? She can look for a job and help support the family." Ken suggesting an idea. I am feeling very uncomfortable. I could sense that Ken's eyes were raping me. Although it wasn't very obvious, but i am sure Ken has his eyes fixed on my tits.

"What can she do? A poly graduate, the most the starting pay is ard $1400. Asking her to finance the family will be a huge burden on her." My husband trying to reject Ken's suggestion.

"At least it will help a little." Ken said. "It will go a liitle way to help buy neccesity items and pay for your young son's school fees." Ken trying to add some weight to the suggestion.

"It's all my fault. If i had not been involved in the accident, all would be well." Jack sounds really dejected. I sat by his side trying to see how as a wife i can help.

"If not, yr daughter and wife can do some fl. They both have such great figures. i am sure they will be very popular." Ken's drooling while he is saying this.

"Are u mad?" My husband shouted. I was thinking what is Ken trying to do.

"Don't be angry. I am just joking but it is the fastest way to earn money." Ken smiled.

"No way! Don't even think of this as an suggestion. If not, we shall no longer be buddies." My husband gave Ken a stern look.

"Relax, cool down! What don't u and Jass start a small business?" Ken giving another suggestion.

"Where to find the start up capital? I can't even borrow from the bank. U must be crazy." Jack replied.

"A small biz need very little start up capital. Anyway, I have money." Ken offered to help.

"How can ask u to lend me money to start a biz? What if the biz did not take off? Where am I going to find $ to return u?" Jack sound negative

"談錢傷感情。Just take it that I invested in the business. Once u make money, just pay me my share of profits." Ken seems generous about his offer.

"Cannot lar, we have already owe u so much money. U should keep your savings for rainy days too. Anyway, what business can we do?" My husband trying to reject Ken's help.

I also do not wish to recieve any more help from Ken. ALthough life gonna be tough, but I believe that my family should use our own abilities to get out of this mess. Futhermore, I feel strange about Ken's motive to help.

"U all need not treat me as an outsider. Jack's problem is mine too. What biz to do, we can all think of an idea. I will be the boss and u are all my employees. Like this, u need not borrow money from me and u will be receiving salary. If u all r afriad of lending more $ and the biz will not take off, this would be a better idea." Ken sound a big boss even before he had a biz. My husband seems to like the idea and ask Ken what biz he had in mind.

"We should do something that is not risky." Ken said.

"Jass's culinary skills are not bad. We can set up a hawker biz." My husband trying to give an idea.

"Cooking for a small family still can lar. But ask me to cook to sell, I dun think I can handle." I replied, trying to help Ken's refill his glass of water. I could sense Ken trying to see whether i zao geng. I quickly sat up straight and adjust my clothes to prevent myself from zao geng.

Usually at home, this is my type of dressing. A spag top plus shorts. Although after giving birth to the 2 kids, I am proud that I am able to maintain my figure. 24 inch waist plus orginally 34 C tits, becuase of giving birth had became 36 C, plus 36 butt had make me turns many eyes. Thus, i like to wear shorts or mini skirts to flaunt my figure.

"Being a hawker is not a very good idea. We need a good location and the rent would be high. Furthermore, we need to compete with others and establish ourselves." Ken rejecting the idea.

"U had a point there." My husband evaluating on the idea. "What not sell clothes?" Ken gave his suggestion.

"Cannot lar. Everyone is into branded stuff nowadays. We also need to compete with top labels. In the long run, we might lose out." I rebutt the idea.

"I dun think so. Jass, u r so pretty. U can be our model and the clothes will definitely sell." Ken said.

Although these word came from Ken's mouth but nevertheless I was happy to hear praise. Whenever I go out with my daughter, we would be mistaken as sisters by salespeople.

"Cannot lar, I have never work in my life. Selling clothese need some good communication skills. i would not be able to handle it." I again try to reject the idea.

"I have a great idea. This biz is so hot now. Start up costs would also be low. My parents' had a bread shop. I can get them to space us some space for our biz. Furthermore, we just need to wait for customers to come and spend very little on marketing." Ken jumped up from his seat as if money were already in his pockets.

"What biz?" My husband and I asked in harmony.

"Bubble tea lor." Ken replied

"Bubble tea?" Me and husband asked.

"Yup, bubble tea. Bubble tea is the craze now. Just need to know how to mix the drinks and syrups together and just sell. Furthermore, customers will just come and q up." Ken said.

"How much can we earn?" My husband asked, interested to find out more.

"Quite a lot. Imagine we sell a cup at $2.00 and we can sell 500 cups a day. That would be $1000 net income per day." Ken thinking of all the money that could be his.

"Really , so profitable?" My husband sounds suspicous.

"Yup, we had a shop ready for us. Just need to know where to get the ingredients and learn to mix the drinks and we can start selling." Ken smiled.

"It sounds easy! Let give it a try." Jack decided to join the biz.

"Now, my parents' shop is in Ang Mo Kio central. We should be able to get human traffic flow there. For a start, if both of u can earn a couple of thousand dollars, there would go a long way." Ken planned the route ahead.

"But, how are we going to go about doing it?" My husband asked.

"U all need not worry. Since I am the boss, I will take care of everything. U all just report for work."
