Itch within Urethra

I had unprotected sex with a girl 3 weeks back.

Few days later, I had this persistent itch within the urethra. 3 weeks passed and I did not noticed any visible signs of STD symptoms or discharge on my genital area.

The itch does not affect my daily activities but it does bother me as the itch is not on the surface where I can apply some steroid cream and ease the itch.

Hope any forum bros or medical expect is able to give some professional advise.

How do you apply cream to the Urethra?

Creams are for external use only.

You can do this
Get the urine test strip.
It is not 100% proof you have those problem
If you do not - then it is sure.

There are many possible causes for itch within the urethra.

For STD related causes, the common one would be Trichomonas.

However, NSU and Chlamydia can also cause itch only. They do not always present with discharge and dysuria (pain passing urine).

As with all medical symptoms, the best thing to do is to see your doctor. You cannot assume this is an STD. You need to test to know for sure.

Thanks for your advice and concern.

Just to update. I've visited DSC clinic for a thorough check-up yesterday.
HIV turn out -ve. Now pending lab test results for chlamydia, GC & syphilis.

From the symptoms, its likely to be chlamydia. Was given one dose of anti-biotics.

Now the worst part was to deal with revealing to wife and getting her to go for a check-up. I feel if I were to wait for the results to come back in 1-2 weeks time and it turn out positive, it'll be too selfish of me by then to reveal to her and get her to go for a screening. As I found out online that the bacteria might never show any symptoms in most cases for females but the bacteria might cause damage to her health in long term.

I've actually revealed to her this morning. As expected, she was in a daze and told me she'll consider about going for a screening. I'll definitely talk her into going for the screening.

So bros here, if you're in a similar situation, what would you do?

I hope she doesn't divorce you bro. Women are strange. They get angrier as things slowly sink in. She might be ok with you now..but you will notice her getting more and more irritated then finally angry with you as the days and weeks drag on. Eventually she may move out.

Had I been in your shoes, I would not have revealed anything until the test came pack positive. I'd just refrain from having sex with her until the results came back.
