1) Go behind Hartland Mall from an exit beside the main entrance and you will come to a cp and the back of a coffeeshop will come into view.
2) go beyond that to the next carpark and you will see the entrance to BR on your side. It's a back entrance, like most of them. Jia Jia is next to it.

Cleanliness is a prob indeed at BR.I stepped into it on the night I first visited JiaJia,and found that the ambience is worse than some of those guay-liao I heard and peeked in at Desker during army days.
The most terok case I heard was the towels on the bed stink and some even got rashes after lying on them. "Noise proof" is also an issue, to me at least.
I like JiaJia because each of us has an individual room-total privacy.

Mmm I been to a lot of dirty places, a TN shop in Bishan North comes to my mind, and BR is nowhere near as dirty as some of these. The guay liao places at desker in your army days must have been pretty clean.

I have been to BR once b4 for a session. I had no problems with the towels. I have also been back when I took my fren. He had no problem with d towels. Everytime I been there I did notice something - they have clean towels drying on a clotheshanger.

That can be an issue with many TN shops. Try visiting Fu Lu Shou TN shops, the TN shop near standard chartered bank on Hg st 21 or even one that I used to goto in TP. BR is better than all of the places I just mentioned. However HC is usually better for this kind of noiseproof activity. I notice that bro flikaroo have visited a few TN shops.
