I predict suspended sentence and no jail time. After all, we know how much of angmo loving the PAP does.

Two German men arrested for vandalism at SMRT Bishan depot

SINGAPORE - Two men have been arrested for suspected involvement in vandalising an SMRT train at Bishan Depot on Nov 8. The men, both German nationals aged 21, were extradited from Malaysia earlier on Friday morning. They were arrested at Kuala Lumpur International Airport based on a warrant of arrest issued by the State Courts here, as they were about to depart for Australia, said the police's Criminal Investigation Department Director Tan Chye Hee. -

The men will be charged in court on Saturday morning for vandalism and trespassing into a protected place, said Mr Tan, who was speaking to the media at a press conference. Based on preliminary investigations, the two men are believed by police to have left Singapore for an unspecified destination on Nov 8 shortly after having vandalised the train. Thereafter, they were located in Bangkok by the Royal Thai Police and later in Kuala Lumpur by the Royal Malaysia police. The men are believed to be working in Australia. Senior Assistant Commissioner Tan said: "The suspects had displayed a blatant disregard of the law in Singapore. Police do not tolerate such brazen criminal acts and we will spare no effort to hunt down those who commit these crimes, be they locals of foreigners, and bring them to justice." If convicted of vandalism, the men face up to three years in jail or a fine of up to $2,000, and between three and eight strokes of the cane. If convicted of trespassing into a protected area, they face up to two years in jail or a fine of up to $1,000 or both.
