Sheryl Choo's comments on the $500 bonus for government civil servants

Sheryl Choo wrote : "The government yesterday announced this sudden SG50 bonus for 82,000 civil servants. As many will know, civil servants are just cannot make it people who choose to have an iron rice bowl. They don't need to slog like us out in the real world but yet they still get rewarded with $500 for no good reason! What about other Singaporeans like us? We don't deserve this bonus because we not willing to be a government dogs? Worse is this PAP government is using $41 million in taxpayers dollars to fund this undeserved "bonus". The blood sweat and tears of all the other Singaporeans being used to feed these jiak liao bis civil servants. I find this totally unacceptable." Read all the visitor comments, such as Patrick Michael Lee's : "1: how would know if we are not working harder than yourself? 2: we pay tax just like how you pay yours. 3: police uphold law and order. 4: look at all the recent past fires. Fire fighters risk our lives just so that you can see your love ones tomorrow. Doing not only 1 but 3 different drills every duty with full gear just to upkeep their skills end of training gear are soaked with sweat. 5: paramedic, medic or emts. We are trained so that in any situations and i do mean any. We know what to do so that the person we save can eat beside you. We as medical personnels are the first point of contact in terms of infectious dieases. Look at SARs, H1N1, MERS. How many of our colleagues had fallen. 6: Teachers? Overworked and underpaid. If it wasnt for them we wouldnt have keyboard warrior like you who knows the ABC. But they teach us more than what you've learnt if you know what im implying to you. 7: Army without their deterrence, seriously war could spark anytime.
