Always heard of opposite sex attracts.

Sexual Orientation

1) Heterosexual (sometimes refer to "straight")
People who are heterosexual are romantically n physically attracted to members of the opposite sex. Heterosexuals males are attracted to females; heterosexual females are attracted to males.

2) Homosexual (gay/lesbian is sometimes used to describe homosexuals)
People who are homosexual are romantically n physically attracted to people of the same sex. Females who are attracted to other females are lesbian; males who are attracted to other males are known as gay.

3) Bisexual
People who are bisexual are romantically n physically attracted to members of both sexes.

4) Asexual
People who dont feel any sexual attraction n are not interested in sex at all. But they can still feel emotionally close to other people.

Character, personality, physical appearance, charisma, etc...

Attraction is something v instinctive. Other than the logical factors like good character, compatible personality, pleasant looks, healthy body, right age range etc, there is also something called the chemistry, some people call it pheromones, sbf boss calls it hormones/chemical reactions to complete the whole picture. so its kinda hard to explain.

In my opinion, attraction works on an interpersonal and emotional level..

It's a natural feeling of being drawn to someone..
Someone special..

It's the joy she makes me feel, when she is around..
And how I would miss her when she is not..

It's about looking forward to simple things..
A message from her makes my day...
Thoughts of her puts a smile on my face..
And when she is upset, the panic and fear of losing her...

Guess for me is various things

Firstly I guess the chemistry of what you felt when you met the person
Then the compatibility and comfortability when together
Then the willingness to compromise and sacrifice for each other on a long term basis

Passion will not last long without nurturing.

Not easy to say. That's why you hear terms like "Chemistry", "X-factor", etc... All too complicated without clear/distinct meaning.

And to your title, it is not really opposite sex attracts; you have mentioned homosexuality as well in your post.

For myself.. what really attracts me to him...
Its that special feeling.
How special? No words can describe.. just that i find him helpful n caring towards frds.

Started off when i have craving for coke, he offered to bring over a can of coke when we just barely knew each other.
I was thinking.. wow so gd meh? Deliver coke to me?
End up i was too paiseh to accept the offer lolz

First time I hear of asexual. Guess I never met such people before.

For me:

#1 Physical appearance
#2 Bluetooth: That look into the eyes and if we connect or disconnect
#3 Character & personality will swing in while dating
#4 Charisma is something developed over time, you can't buy it off the shelf

I've been approached by gays in public but now that I have tummy that keeps them away easily
