Monkey Adopts A Puppy And Takes Better Care Of It Than Most Humans Would

This is a classic tale of puppy love. Last month, a rhesus macaque monkey in Southern India adopted a baby dog and the pair is now inseparable. The duo have become the stars of the town in Erode, Tamil Nadu, so much so that people have started leaving food out for them.

This is such an extraordinary tale of love that we are constantly reminded how animals are better teachers of all-embracing compassion.
Because the monkey takes such good care of the puppy that it cleans and picks lice out of the pup's fur, all the while protecting it from danger.

Rescued and adopted on the streets, the monkey protects it from attacking strays, just like a mother would if her child's life comes in harm's way.

The monkey nurtures the pup so lovingly, that it feeds the little pooch before eating itself.

And in a classic enactment of "you jump I jump", the pup holds on to its foster parent fearlessly, taking that giant leap of faith.

Sasi Kumar, a resident of Erode reportedly told Zee News, "People who have seen them all spoke of their strong mutual affection and described their bond as the most caring thing in the world. To take care of a puppy in danger and protect him like a parent, their undying affection gives us a valuable lesson about relationships."
Friendships like these are made beautiful only because they know no difference. :)
