Crazy Horse Cabaret will be closing down after it's last show on 31 January 2007, 14 months after opening in Singapore.

After the topless revue arrived at Clarke Quay, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew saw it as a centrepiece to help Singapore shed its squeaky-clean image and become "the Paris of South-east Asia".

About time for them to close......would you pay to just go see lighting effects or go see naked (or should I say semi naked) women?

any feedback of the show... it an art right this type of show... i think it really a waste to close any supporter? i total forget abt this we have in sin.. cause no ads... they are not allow tooo.. fuck man they wan them here yet no suppore them

If you talk about being artistic.....then well yes they did a good job in the lighting tricks, the gals are pretty alright but don't expect those big boobs gals. Unfortunately, most sillyporeans would say they go to see the artistic part of the show but in reality more for the boobs and hopefully pussies.

The show itself goes in a theme. It highlight the gals getting ready thru film on behind the scene. For those into lightings, it's indeed very good as they conceal those tits thru lights. Pussies wise, well in Sillypore, you can rest assured you don't get to see becoz it's cover in the front. Back is like wearing G-string

It is destined to failed the minute they come into Singapore. It is already a miracle that they can last more than a year. Heard from the news yesterday, that they suffered a loss of more than 3 million! Hardly surprising actually.

Why would I said they are destined to failed? First of all, tickets are not cheap to begin with. If I remembered correctly, around $80 and above. So this is not like going to the movies, but 10 times more in fact. Since the ticket is not cheap, those that can afford this type of exorbitant entertainment is pretty limited. Even those that can afford may not want to go, and even if they do go, you don't expect them to go more than a couple of times, right?

Then you have to take away the minors that are not permitted for this type of shows. That takes away another good market portion.

Last of all, you cannot do advertisements, so over time people will forget that they even existed. The lady is the interview on the news, saying that the limitation in advertising cause them dearly. While I agree with what she says, but this cannot be an excuse. They should have already knew that when they are planning to bring the show in, and have taken that into consideration, before making the final decision. And saying that just makes them looks like amateurs.

The target audience was never locals. It was the rich and famous. People who want class and high end entertainment. If it could do marketing, it could have been a hit by roping in tourists. But with zero advertising, how you expect them to sell? Want to blame? Blame the government.

Not sad at all, good riddance. Been there twice (don't ask), super expensive, super notforlocals ... girls so so. Made me wonder both time who they're actually targeting.

Kinda like watching the Sentosa musical fountain, you know, like when the monkey appears you realized the show's gonna suck. (It is a monkey, right?) But CrzyHorse is still better, it doesn't have the dancing guy.

Maybe time for some hot local real cabaret?

What is there to be sad about? This is totally expected. How to survive in this kind of environment. So expensive, can see no touch, the girls arent' that great anyway.

If gahment close down all the HCs and TNs and KTVs, ...... now that will be really something to be sad about.
