Recently saw an ad on TNP about Cherry Thai Disco in Chinatown (Near Keong Saik).

Anyone been there?

this place is quite happening. but alot of lau bengs.
was there last week. saw a fight.
friend was there week before... saw a fight also.

the football club 1 floor down safer place to hang out hahahah.

Bro you can say that again.....wanted to try this place out since it opened but was told many bad things.....in the end the chance came when 'invited' to go and 'support' by an associate who was part of the management there.

This FR is 3wks old just before CNY;
First impression was pretty good, The signage read CHERRY THAI DISCO, the place was big with entrance via a staircase one floor below (reminds me of some posh niteclub....can't seem to recall what this place used to be though)

The decor was passable with ktv rooms and a stage and long bar area (now the joint reminds me of some flower hanging joint).
Sensed nothing thai about the place yet (they were playing CNY music then), place was deserted (to be fair it was only 7.30pm). Spied 2 pretty syt waitresses and a MILF that looks like a ktv mummy but turned out to be the beer promoter.......

Requested some thai songs and was promised that GROs were on the way (thais and other nationalities). Next streamed in groups of uncles and hokkiens songs were blasted (now it feels like a local LSB)

Next came the GROs....PRCs/Viets/malaysians.....but no thais. To take my mind off started to raba-raba.....then came the bartop dancers cum tequila mamas....the band was late and 1st set started only after midnight (was expecting a thai band end up it was a local band with a female lead). Place now half-packed

Next I went out to take a call and met the Young & Dangerous crew hanging outside (now this reminds me of a certain ex-GL ktv where the underlings gathered next to a parked Merc with car plate no. 3). No wonder fights are almost daily occurrences here.

Went back & decided time to leave....negotiated $150 (ON) with a viet and left for 'supper'....went back 2 days later to finish balance & no RTF. Heard some changes now there with thai band? I rather still to GM thanks

agreed... GM still safer. no ah bengs hanging around. plus the security really take care of things. make sure nothing happens.

As for cherry thai.. last time use to be party world KTV mah. so i guess they just knock down some rooms, put a bar and stage there.

maybe i go recce again one of these days. bring my PRC meimei there for a thai experience.

me is semi-retire....dat means if i feel like cheonging...i cheong can be very active for a period of time then die down then if the urge comes agn then cheong agn loh....now i m in hiber mode....hehehe bit still can come out for a drink lah.....

for your info currently this place is having a thai band of 10 members,1st set starts at ard 9pm.the live band is pretty good to me and not really that much fight.any bros who wanna know more can just pm me your hp number.i'm currently the manager of this place. beer happy hour $38 for 2 jugs ....after 9pm $28 a jug.

have received alot of news that current thai band in Cherry Disco, some of the members were frm GM lastime. they used to jam at Thailand Disco aka DAG THAI..
i think most memorable sld be ah fon.. wonder if she still has her braces on anot..
