Possible, even some of the non-dancers who greet and sit down with you in SC aggs. If bar fine, no fxxking defeats the purpose right?:p I was close to bar fine one awhile back, but got fickle minded and chose 1 prancing on stage (at least I can QA body mah). Never got around asking bf price, but would not expect this to be diff from naked things on stage. All agg gals are equal, just some are more attractive than others:D

Hi,what do u mean by mean "all Agg girls including those who are working in waitress are equal". Cause actually i just want to know if waitress is the same as bar girl whereby if u pay u can fuck or they are just working as waitress and nothing more than that.

Thanks all.

Hey guys, a newb in these forums..

Just wanna share my experiences in BKK during a short trip last week.. 2 nights stay at grand millenium sukhumvit, ~3.5k +++ thb per night.. A biz hotel, girl friendly. Nice room, huge bed with see through glass toilets.. :D

Dropped by Thermae first night.. quite a couple of cuties, probably because of the red shirts picnic at Silom area? Picked one talked abit - 2k for LT (got lucky?) Went back showered but no boom boom as i forgot CDs and lazy to buy.. So we just slept.. Weird, she didnt want any money from me next morning but i gave her 500 as tips anyways..

Damage: 500 tips + 400 on beers

Second night jap colleague brought me to Soi Thaniya, some J-club.. cannot remember which place but climbed the steps to second floor... When we enter the ladies lined up and we picked.. Told mamasan i want english speaking below certain age, they raised hands and i picked this SYT.. Colleague settled for a jap speaking one with huge tits.. Old looking karaoke place playing jap songs and yeah ALL japs.. Saw some police men in next couch so we decide to BF the girls and move...

Girls brought us to Scratch Dog (spell?). DAMN, place with many HOT CHICKS.. Alot of young funky japs with their ladies as well.. Cover is 400thb per head (2 drinks). Our girls saw their girlfriends partying and we joined.. Free whiskey.. Anyhow we went back hotel after some "girl networking"..

Damage: 400 thb in 45 mins block in the jclub.. lLD cannot recall.. BF is 800 thb.. So for 30mins at the Jclub we burned around 2.5k thb minus LD..

Ladies at that jclub is hot! Took me awhile to pick..

When I was there last week. I heard from the local, close then I heard open. :D You might to make a trip there if the BTS is working and taxi driver willing to go there. Traffic will be chaotic around there.

I have not been to MBK for a very long time. I normally go Central latphao, Central chaeng wattana, future park, software park, all these more ulu shopping mall to shop, to avoid the crowd and tourists.

Anyway, my preferred mode of travel in such traffic congested cities are via rail or subway. :)

Mbk is prob the only mall in that area that's been operating for the last month. It was shut for a few days on and off but otherwise business as usual. Take the skytrain but take note some days the bts will cease operating early like 8pm due to the protest.things have been quiet now that the red shirts have accepted the road map to reconciliation but they are still in the area until they are sure its concrete. Have fun. Explore the malls further out if u have to.

If you are game to checkout the malls in the suburbs, may not be too acccessible by mrt or BTS (skytrain)

Go to Emporium on main Sukhumvit stretch (right at Prom Phom BTS station). Bit atas with branded stuff, but there's usual dept store stuff, supermarket, restaurants and revamped foodcourt and cinemas. Along the same stretch is Ekkamai (near BTS same name) Major but small shops with bowling alley and cinemas.

Try Central Bangna or Seacon at Srinakarin stretch. Suk to both places by cab range 110-130bt (allow 30mins journey).

Tourists may soon get to revisit the main downtown malls soon with a political settlement now in sight after last mon and reds to decide on their exit from rally sites

If wanna stay away, but yet not too far, can try AG. Think quite a few bros here stayed before. Not bad, but slightly costlier than Citadines which I feel is ok (near to SC but somewhat also nearer to the reds.)

Seriously, you shd not be clouded by media reports (on the shifts of colored thai politics). Daresay the worse fears of civil war are now over with political compromise of new elections, with only posturing by red (and yellow) sides.

And if any consolation for you, here's latest grapevine.. reds mulling on ending rally 10/5 (but you never know!)

Its pretty alright and normal.. Just that in the evenings you see a couple of soldiers here and there.. Avoid the silom area where the reds are sitting and you'll be fine...

Besides biz is bad now, you get more bang for your buck!

IMO,
Burma - Military is the Government
Thailand - Military control the Government (Thai have a saying, the poor elect the government, the Elite choose/overthrow them)

If this is the case, how can a elected government get in favor of the military? corruptions continue...

So is it going to be over soon? Anyone's guess. Reds first say OK but now say Abisit's proposal "too vague" blah, blah, blah...

Occupied for 5 weeks already. Paragon, Siam Discovery, Central World & a few shops facing main road at Siam still closed. Good news BTS is running 6am to midnight again and this includes the stations near the Reds. Reds have turned Rama 1 & Rachaprasong areas in one big squatter camp. Stinks in this heat & humidity dunno how they can tahan.

Suggested shopping areas to go that are safe and easily accessible are:
1) Jatujak Weekend Market (BTS Mor Chit or MRT Chatujak Park/Khampaeng Phet)
2) Central Ladprao/Union Mall (MRT Phahonytin)
3) Emporium (BTS Phrom Phong)
4) MBK (BTS National Stadium)
5) Mall Bangkapi (boat from any piers - Chidlom, Nana, Ekkamai etc...) boat stops directly behind the center.
6) Major Rachayothin (taxi advisable)
7) Pratunam/Platinum/Pantip Plaza
The other shopping areas like Seacon Sq, Future Park Rangsit, Central Chaeng Wattana, Central Pinklao I feel have nothing worth going so far for.

All regular chiong areas are open - Rachada (MRT Sutthisan or Hway Kuang), Soi Cowboy (BTS Asoke or MRT Sukhumvit) and Nana (BTS Nana). Sorry dun know if Patpong (BTS Sala Daeng) is open or not but shld be.

To put a long story short, Bangkok is still quite "safe" just avoid Rachaprasong/Lumpini Park especially at night. Heck I even went to look c look c the Red's barricade and bought their DVD (pretty scary watching people rioting)!

Given that Seh Saeng is hit, there will be reprisals. So avoid going near police or soldiers. Go around them even if you need to pass them. Otherwise potential to be collateral damage for a M79 round.

Bangkok traffic: CRES to block roads around Rajprasong

The Centre for Resolution of Emergency Situation will completely seal off roads around the Rajprasong rally site to block more protesters to join the rally.
The CRES announced that the complete blockade would start at 6 pm Thursday.
Phyathai Road, Phetchaburi Road, and Wireless Road would be closed to all type of transportation.
Motorists on Rama IV Road would be subject to checking by troops.
Residents of the sealed-off are will need to show identification documents to enter the area.
Protesters will not be allowed to enter the zone but they will not be blocked from leaving.
Blockade starts 6 pm, troops authorised to use live ammunitions
BANGKOK: -- The Centre for Resolution of Emergency Situation will completely seal off roads around the Rajprasong rally site to block more protesters from joining the rally.
The CRES announced that the complete blockade would start at 6 pm Thursday.
Phyathai Road, Phetchaburi Road, and Wireless Road would be closed to all types of transportation.
Limited access will be allowed on Rama IV Road but motorists would be checked by troops.
Residents of the sealed-off area will need to show identification documents to enter the zone.
Protesters will not be allowed to enter the zone but they will not be blocked from leaving.
The blockade was announced by CRES spokesman Col Sansern Kaewkamnerd, who said troops will be authorised to use live ammunitions at the all checkpoints around Rajprasong.
Sansern said the northern area to be affected by the sealing-off starts from Rajthevi Intersection to Phetchaburi Road, reaching the Phetchaburi Expressway Intersection.
On the southern side, the road will be blocked from Phetchaburi Intersection to Wireless Road to Wireless Road Intersection, reaching Rama IV road and Samyaek Intersection.
The Phythai Road will be entirely sealed off from Mah Boon Krong, reachingRajthevi Intersection.
Sansern said the roads will be blocked in square shape.
"In this square blockade, the Phyathai, Phetchaburi and Wireless Road will be closed to traffic," Sansern said, adding that Rama IV Road will provide limited access to motorists.
He said all types of transportation, including buses, BTS trains and subway and passenger boasts will not be allowed to pass through the blocked area.
Sansern said residents and people working in the blocked zone would be allowed to travel through the checkpoints if they present their documents like household registrations and workers' ID cards. They will receive stickers for their vehicles to enter the zone.
He said the troops and police would close in on the rally zone and would be backed up by armoured vehicles.
"We need to use the armoured vehicles to shield troops and police from being fired at because we are confident that armed terrorists are among the protesters," Sansern said.
Sansern said troops would first try to prevent attacks by protesters by using rubber bullets but if protesters still attack the officials to try to seize weapons, the officials will need to use live ammunitions to defend themselves.
He said officials would first try to fire into the sky to intimidate attacking protesters and would aim at those with weapons.
Sansern said troops will be armed with M16 assault rifles and Travo assault rifles.
Sansern said the court approved the CRES' request for mobile phone operators to cut off phone signals in the protest zone.
He said the court allowed the phone signal blackout to be made for six hours each time for unlimited number of times until the situation improved.

Unconfirmed reports that Seh Daeng died or arrested by officers from Thungmahamek police station, which is just 5 mins from where I stay.
My office and most business are closed today.
Jus received news of clash again just 40 mins ago around Night Bazaar area.

So bros avoid Protest area. 4 face buddha, MBK, Siam, Central World and even Pratunam, platimum mall area is to be avoided at all costs. Situation is volatile now. Anyway all BTS services into those area are stopped, meaning you cannot alight there. The roads are blocked and armed soldiers (wth live ammo) are checking every single person going into the area.

Even when outside the protest area, avoid Bangkok bank branches (some say all banks), avoid all gatherings of policemen & soldiers. Even if you are walking and see a policeman/soldier ifront of you. Take a detour and give them the wide berth. These are targets for counter-attacks by other unknown elements, using machine guns and grenades.

Wah like tat die lah... better go to the 7 and stock up on beer & rubbers! Though there r a lot of rumors swirling around now. Personally I don't think such attacks will take place as it will work against the interests of the Reds. The Chula Hospital fiasco was a major PR blow to them. They need the support of the people. Attacking innocent civilians will not gain them any sympathy or support. If such attacks happen the people of Bangkok will cry for immediate action and couldn't care less when the tanks finally crush those bamboo barricades.

If such attacks do take place it would b against property, businesses & residences of the elites. If they do attack it will most prob b against army units aligned with the govt, businesses (i.e. Bangkok Bank, Poseidon) or residences (Abisit's shit throwing incidents).

As of now sporadic fighting can be seen on local TV but nothing like a 10th April full scale assault... yet. Stay tuned to the on going Battle of Bangkok!

hi
soi 23 should be ok no news of any things going on there bars still open in SC.
may be just don't go near nana it close to the action last night a bro arrived in bkk stay near Nana he say can hear gun shot n loud boom sound so he check out to today.

cheers

that was me. (thanks a million for Moonlight's help througout the night/day, if not for him i would have been to scared to even check into the hotel when i arrived being first timer) while i am here might as well do a field report (i am sitting in E2 spa in KL looking at locals and malay line up :)

anyway i arrived at 2100 checked into hotel around 22:00,, settle in and went down stair to eat (the hotel is majestic suite hotel excellent hotel will stay again next time)...got in contact with Moonlight for advise, he told me to stay put and dont go too far just go around to nana Rainbow 4 and pick up and gal.. which i did.. geezee i am first timer in BKK. nana complex is like a f!kcing flesh market.. i like what i see. so commercialised and so convenient......so walk around the complex then stop into rainbow 4 ask about bar fine.600baht.. and sat there for a beer and ask a few gal about LT.. most dont want to stay LT..but as brother moonlight indicated ST for 2k and LT for 4K might as well go LT.. eventuall found out that i like who will so LT. ...anyway.. went back to hotel all 2 mins walk. pick up some rubber drinks etc on the way....started action...pump her long and hard.. must be the beers. :) ....the gal very accomadating... number 012 short petite nice sized breast small tight ass...sleep till 2:30 start action again. another session....when i finished around 3am..and the gal left.then i hear car honing poeple shouting.. i look out the windows i see traffic jam on both direction.. i though just poeple going home.. from late nite.. didnt take notice when to sleep....then around 4am ...i heard a loud 'bom' ...it woke me up .. then i look out the windows didt like what i see.(there were no cars at all) went down stairs to the lobby. quite a few poeple there...then i heard gun shots..near by...thinking to myself. oohhh shit..then whole bunch of soldier appeared and station in front of the hotel......taking cover behind beams pots ..what not.. what scares me is when the soldier started to load thier magazine into their M16 rifles....(they werent load before) most where carriying single shot rifle (for shooting rubber bullet i thinik) and pump action shotgun....the loading of the mag.. meant shit was going to happen.. at least thats what the soldier were thinking ........the worst part for me is that my room windows was facing the main street. the recieptionist told me to stay in my room it will be safe.. i dont think so cos those glass were not going to stop rifle round....and there were no rooms for me to change.....so i slept most part on the floor behind the hard cover...by this time i had my laggage packed and ready to move.. by 5am.. the action had cleared. traffice were allowed back i was thinking to go to the airport already.. but i waited till morning around 7am.. had my breakfast and check out the street it was quite normal with few soldiers standing around the junctions...it looked clears so i decided it was time.. check out and whent to the airport..and got my flight changed and now sitting in KL...enjoying spa...and going to eat some NL now.. there my first trip and less then 12 hour trip to bkk......again a million thanks to brother moonlight for advise...owe you big time

Khunsanook,

I agree with you, business is slow due to political situation with redshirts! Tons of girls out there looking for customers, but difficult to negotiate for lower price due to Thai marketing mentality! So far best place to pickup syts are at Thermae Coffee Shop, hands down! Nataree is smoking also due to lack of Japanese tourists.

1984hunter,

Pattaya is safe but do you like monkeys?

Bangkok is still safe just stay around Sukhumvit Soi 3 - 90. You can visit Nana Parking lot, Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, oil and lotion massage centers. It's exciting venturing out and mingling with soldiers and policemen carrying weapons and working girls!

Sorry a bit late on the MRT train update request from Mr. Sanook - SBF mayb shld allow tweets? 555+ can imagine the mssgs bros send whilst screwin? I digress - today all MRT operations stopped at 5pm. Before that limited services. Lines operational from Rama 9 to Bang Sue only. So bros thinkin of hoping on the MRT from Sukhumvit for a Rachada soapy... best advice STAY AT RACHADA. Save u the hassle since most ap narms within walkin distance of the hotels.

Bro HumChung... welcome to Bangkok. Thats some story to tell the boys back home on your 1st time. Local TV is not showing any major violence. Some burning tires and a smashed army truck so channel surfing BBC, CNA, NHK, Al Jezeera, TV Monde, DW etc... for more juicy pictures.

Today 7 people were killed and several injured from clashes with the army. All reporters wearing flak jackets and helmets after 3 were shot (including one foreign pressman) today. Army not fuckin around this time.

Bro LOF I think stay at Rachada area better or go straight to Pattaya where itz biz as usual & safer. So far the bombs going off outside the riot zone r more for show coz they r targeted at branches of Bangkok Bank after hours. The Poseidon bomb was also another non-starter. I heard the loud boom. Lots of black smoke but everything cleared it was only the car that was damaged. Poseidon was biz as usual the next day.

Bro Norice u went to the Pattaya zoo? Got fair skin girls if u know where to look and we're out of shape so not advisable to mingle with the soldiers or cops. Can't run as fast as u if got trouble. BTW did u check out Nataree tonight? :D

Welcome to Krungthep everybody!

Dirtbag_26, Junkie2807

I'm attracted to girls with short hair, they're sexier! I want the hair just touching the bottom of the neck(nape). I can't stand Thai girls with nice long hair because they just spend time playing and looking at their hair! At California WOW, I never seen a girl not looking at themselves and fondling their hair while passing a mirror! I'm willing to donate 100B each time a Thai girl passes a mirror without looking at themselves!

HuayKwang night market is hot and humid but lots of attractive girls on the loose! I don't know why they're wearing fake color contact lenses, in the longrun it's bad for their eyes!

Field reporters have tweeted that there are noticeably fewer press at Ratchaprasong stage today after some were injured yesterday.

TR @Bancha_nna 9.45am Clashes reported @ Soi Rang Nam; cars U-Turn on Sri Ayutthaya and Ratchaparop to avoid clashes causing heavy traffic.

Erawan Emergency Medical Centre: 16 dead, 141 injured in clashes between troops and Red Shirt protesters on Friday

Red shirts burn public telephone booth in front of Lumpini Boxing Stadium

Red-shirt protesters set fire to a public telephone booth in front of the Lumpini Boxing Stadium at 8:57 am Saturday, Jor Sor 100 traffic radio station reported.
The fire spread to nearby commercial building and fire fighters could not go in to put out the blaze yet.
Sporadic gunfire and explosions were heard in the area.
Troops also fired into the sky to warn protesters not to attack them.

They also used motorbikes more extensively to get behind military lines (eg in rangnam) and then attack from behind

The army is essentailly having to fight 360 degrees, // could that not be their fault on positioning and combat?

An ambulance is trying to get in to rangnam but has just been hit by a molotv cocktail

One journalist has been shot dead and several more wounded in the Thai capital since anti-government protests broke out in March, underscoring the dangers facing media covering the chaotic clashes.
Three journalists suffered gunshot wounds Friday while covering the latest explosion of violence in Bangkok, where troops opened fire during a tense confrontation with "Red Shirt" demonstrators in the heart of the city.
Nelson Rand, a television reporter with France 24, was hit by three bullets and seriously injured, his network reported.

"One hit his leg, one his torso and another his wrist, which has multiple fractures. The doctors say his condition is now stable but that he was gravely wounded," Rand's colleague Cyril Payen said on air.
A photographer with the Thai newspaper Matichon was also shot in the leg during Friday's clashes, as was a cameraman with Voice-TV, a cable television station owned by the family of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
Hiro Muramoto, a Japanese cameraman with the Thomson Reuters news agency, was shot and killed covering an unsuccessful military operation on April 10 to clear an area of the capital that left a total of 25 people dead.
Journalists have been a visible presence on the streets of the capital since the opposition "Red Shirts" began their mass protests in mid-March in a campaign to topple a government they see as undemocratic.
While some are war-hardened foreign correspondents wearing flak jackets and helmets, others have little protection.

Alongside professionals, tourists and amateur photographers have often been seen taking pictures of the protests -- a sign, perhaps, of the growing role of "citizen journalism" relaying news through blogs and online forums.
After three members of the press were wounded within just a few hours Friday, the media watchdog Reporters Without Borders called on the army and the protesters "to guarantee the safety of the journalists" in the capital.
"The confusion reigning in various parts of Bangkok does not suffice to explain the shooting injuries sustained by several Thai and foreign journalists since April," it said in a statement.
"Both camps must comply fully with the requirements of international law, according to which journalists cannot be military targets," it added.
On Thursday night, a renegade army general allied to the Red Shirts was shot in the head and gravely wounded while he gave an interview to a foreign newspaper reporter, Thomas Fuller of the International Herald Tribune.
"I was facing him, he was answering my questions, looking at me and the bullet hit him in the forehead, from what I could tell," Fuller told CNN.
"It looks like the bullet came over my head and struck him. I don't have any way of confirming this beyond what I remember from the scene but it felt like it grazed my head," he added.
Supporters of Major-General Khattiya Sawasdipol, better known by his nickname "Seh Daeng", said he was targeted by a sniper.
The army, which had warned Thursday it would deploy marksmen around the Reds' protest site, denied any involvement in the shooting.
Satit Wongnongtoey, minister attached to the prime minister's office, urged media to "clearly identify themselves" while covering the violent and unpredictable unrest, which has left at least 16 dead and 141 injured.
"Cameramen are easily targeted by armed persons and face high risks as they work in the middle of the authorities and protesters. Media should be stationed at one place while they are covering a story, not walking around."
Many reporters wear green armbands issued by the Thai Journalists Association near the rally site, which they can freely enter.
Their blog posts -- relaying a steady stream of reports of gunfire and protesters hurt or killed -- illustrate the chaotic situation on the ground.
"Just back in office after crazy afternoon to edit TV piece. Snapper told me a protester was shot in the head near our petrol station stop," BBC correspondent Alastair Leithead wrote on Twitter.
"Lots of bullets and big bangs -- even more confusing in the darkness," he added later.
Another deadly day for my courageous colleagues. Three journalists injured," wrote Andrew Marshall, a reporter for Time Magazine.

Due to heavy casualties (all civilians shot by the army) from yesterday's fighting Thai govt wants to impose a curfew in Bangkok. They will meet later today at 2.30pm (Thai time) to discuss the curfew details... stay tuned.

Local TV programming continues as per normal as if the fighting is not that serious. Soldiers hassling reporters and even shooting at them. The govt seems to b trying to block Youtube, Twitter and foreign news agency's websites. CNA, CNN, BBC and even CCTV sites have better coverage & analysis of the Thai situation.

Reporters complaining that soldiers are shooting indiscriminately. Foreign media show soldier shooting not into the air but towards the Red lines. As one reporter commented "they are shooting into the smoke at who knows what".Yesterday central Bangkok was declared a "live firing zone". Soldiers will shoot on sight at "anything suspicious". So much for the "shooting in self defense" rules of engagement declared by the government. So far 4 foreigners were shot. Ystrday one ambulance worker was shot in the back as he was goiing in to help the injured.
Woman seen shot while observing protest at Bon Kai (http://www.nationmultimedia.com/home/Woman-seen-shot-while-observing-protest-at-Bon-Kai-30129471.html)

With the planned curfew it mayb advisable for bros to KIV tat trip to Bangkok until its more clear what the curfew conditions will be like. If travel in Bangkok is really restricted then suggest to those whose tickets can't b changed to head to Pattaya instead. Traveling up North and the North East may not also be a good idea. There is possibility if the Reds fail in Bangkok or more Reds get killed there might be a good chance of an uprising in the Reds strongholds. Ystrday an army bus was attacked and burned in Chinagmai.

Abisit's army can't seem to take the Reds down and growing more desperate.

Anyway i went to the hotel yesterday that i mentioned in my early post and its a very big eye opener, first time see so much meat in one place, beer is 100 baht per bottle and short time is 1.5k baht to 2k baht and over night is 3.5k bahat to 4k baht. so depending on ur luck on finding a good one =)

We need to better understand thai mindset. Even Abhisit is exasperated by his army and police non-assertiveness up to recent days. Didn't you know thais had a fitting nickname for the army/police "watermelons" -green on outside, RED inside.

It's thais vs thais, unlike some aliens. And we have seen, read pics/stories of not only families split by divided loyalities.. but also sad loss of lives or injuries to next of kin -either with red shirt or army/police uniforms.

Latest is school semester opening tomorrow is postponed by 1 week. And mon/tues now public holidays -is this the final push??

i agreed with u abt the thai mindsets ... it's always talk and no action ...
everyone is always waiting for someone to make the first move ...
unfortunately no one have the balls to do it ..
thus it is always a waiting game ... and make noise when things did not get done ...
It's thais vs thais, unlike some aliens. And we have seen, read pics/stories of not only families split by divided loyalities.. but also sad loss of lives or injuries to next of kin -either with red shirt or army/police uniforms.

if i was red shirt leader (thaksin??) and ruthless and want to gain "sympathy",i will have my people shoot civilians since i know all the small fry red shirt will believe must be the army shooting and not their "own side"

and for sure they got weapons

Seriously, HM the King maybe the only one who could finally put an end to this chaos.

Understand royal family do not intervene with domestic politics but his word is so precious in this crisis situation.

Though he is still recuperating at the royal Siriraj hospital, hope a Message from him or the Crown Prince can ease the situation and bring smiles back to the Thais . . . and of course also the smiles to us cheongster bros !

NANA AREA
========
Thai soldiers on Monday sealed off part of the Bangkok tourist district of Sukhumvit Road, but there was no sign of clashes in the area as troops battled anti-government protesters elsewhere in the capital.

Razor wire and trucks blocked the road near the Nana nightlife zone popular with foreign travellers. About 100 soldiers carrying riot shields stood in formation, blocking the road in one direction.

Authorities late last week launched an operation to squeeze thousands of Red Shirt anti-government protesters encamped for weeks in an upscale retail and hotel district.

Troops were deployed to seal access to several kilometres of roads around the camp. Authorities also said they had cut utilities to the area.

Three days of clashes on the fringes of the encampment have killed 34 civilians and one soldier, and wounded 244, according to official figures.

Just the cost of repairing and cleaning up the affected parts of the city will set the government back alot. All that burnt rubber on the city streets, bullet holes in buildings and rubble will be a tough mess to clean up. Wonder if Thaksin is wiling to finance the clean up. Well that is if and when this all clears up.

Wah bro..didn't know you are still there..thought you are in province na krap. Take care bro and hope to hear from you soon when you are back in town. Chok dee na krap!
What gave u the idea I am in the province? I'm sitting in my apartment watching Din Dang burn since Saturday from my balcony. Can even smell the burning rubber!

Had 2 close encounters today with the fires at Din Dang. First when my taxi was passing overhead on the flyover and later waved thru a Red checkpoint. Last experience was rather scary coz dunno who more scary... out-of-control Red mob or itchy trigger fingers army boys. Need to work so no choice have to go out :(

This afternn there were some unconfirmed news that Ladprao/Rachada intersection also had some Reds causing trouble. Hope its untrue or else the trouble is spreading. Red leader Jaran said last Thursday that if the govt restricts people from joining the protests at Rachaprasong then other parts of the city will have trouble. Its also naive to believe that the govt will simply let us (Reds) go home and forget what happened. They (govt) will hunt us done. So its now or never. Stay and fight all the way. Path of no return for the Reds that are heavily involved.

i think not clear thai army shooting all the civilians
Even Thai TV showing mostly the army shooting directly at the Reds so guessing most of the casualties from army bullets. Of course we can't discount the possibility of "friendly fire" but so far there r no local rumors nor much speculation on "friendly fire".

i think thaksin making his push to try to topple the governmentNot that easy... well at least thru an armed uprising. How can burning tires, firecrackers and slingshots compare to M16's and tanks? The situation is not that simple.

There are many people on both sides of the divide. The Nation newspaper published their poll of Bangkok residents on Sunday... "51% are for a crackdown, what about the other 49%"?

Seriously, HM the King maybe the only one who could finally put an end to this chaos. Understand royal family do not intervene with domestic politics but his word is so precious in this crisis situation.!
Situation now is different and more complicated than May 1992. His Majesty is very frail now if not why is he in hospital since last September? Her Majesty was at the funeral of a slain Yellow Shirt last year. Thaksin & his followers are closet republicans. Abisit's in power after much political horse trading. Police are largely pro-Thaksin (in theory). Army has some "watermelon" elements. So how to solve this puzzle within a riddle

Bangkok is really quite now - shops close early, little cars on the road and even Huay Kwang was devoid of people last night. Now some bros also saying Nana closed? Not lying when say Bangkok lost its livey vibe and can't wait to come back home. Truth is nobody actually knows when this whole thing will end. Still need to chiong in Thailand? Then suggest Pattaya instead.

thaksin dont need redshirt to win

thaksin need red shirt TO DIE

if many many red shirt die then he can say "look ,see how cruel abhisit is ,this is what happen when i am force out ,if i come back i will solve everything"

if red shirt don't die ,then he got nothing to say

Thai army says it has full control of Bangkok
BANGKOK – The Thai army has declared an end to the operation against anti-government protesters and says that troops are now in control.
Despite the army claim, violence continued as Red Shirt protesters set fires in several parts of downtown Bangkok.
Army spokesman Col. Sansern Kawekamnerd told a Wednesday news conference that soldiers have entered the Rajprasong shopping district that protesters had occupied since mid-April. He said police and soldiers had completed their operations.
Seven leaders of the Red Shirt protest movement surrendered to authorities Wednesday afternoon after the army stormed their barricaded encampment, killing two protesters and an Italian photographer.

PT demands PM, Suthep, Anupong 'out'

The opposition Puea Thai Party on Wednesday morning submitted a petition to Senate Speaker Prasopsuk Boondej seeking the removal from office of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban and army chief Gen Anupong Paojinda for alleged malfeasance under Article 270 of the constitution.

The petition, signed by 175 Puea Thai MPs, was submitted to Mr Prasopsuk by opposition chief whip Witthaya Buranasiri.

Mr Witthaya said the opposition MPs had long monitored the government's handling of the rally of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD).

He said Mr Abhisit, Mr Suthep and Gen Anupong had ordered armed soldiers to break up the UDD protesters without care for their safety or damage to public property.

Moderate Red leaders have surrendered to the authorities around 2pm this afternoon. But the fight is far from over. Now rampaging mobs of hardcore Reds & anarchists are running wild.

1) Bomb reported at Siam Square.
2) Din Daeng/Vic Monumnet still burning.
3) Channel 3 is off the air coz HQ has been invaded.
4) 7-11's in trouble spots being looted.
5) Thai TV showing big building next to Channel 3 on fire.
6) Bus & taxi companies have stopped or limited operations.
7) Unconfirmed reports that Central World also attacked.

Media are barred from entry to areas where there are still fighting so hard to assess what is happening now. Just came back from a late lunch. Streets are quite with few buses running and cars on the roads. Ordinary Thais have been advised to go back early. Banks, shops & supermarkets are closed or closing as I'm typing this.

CRES announced a new curfew in Bangkok from 2000HRS to 0600HRS - dunno if it is thru out the capital or selected areas.

Bros in Bangkok r advised to stay indoors until the situation is more clear or the army takes full control of the anarchy. The defeated Reds are venting their anger now so there is some anxiety on the streets of Bangkok now as people try to catch whatever transport left to go home.

Online news: Breakingnews

Arsonists rampaged in downtown Bangkok on Wednesday afternoon, setting fire to buildings and shopping centres, after the core leaders of the United front for democracy against Dictatorship surrendered and announced an end to the protest rally at Ratchaprasong intersection.

Fires were reported at Central World department store in Ratchaprasong, Siam Theatre at Siam Square, the Paragon shopping centre and branches of commercial banks nearby.

Fighting between troops and protesters, and explosions, were reported throughout the area.

At the Sala Daeng intersection on Rama IV Road, rampaging protesters destroyed telephone booths, advertising signs, traffic signs and other public property.

The Bangkok Post building in nearby Klong Toey was evacuated shortly before 3pm as a mob advanced from the Rama IV intersection to Five Ways and down the narrow Na Ranong road leading to the Post building about 200 metres away.

The Post building also houses the Bangkok Post's sister newspaper, the Thai-language Post Today.

TV Channel 3, which is based nearby on Rama IV Road in the Maleenont Building was also off the air.

Reports quoted staff at the TV station saying their building had been attacked by red-shirt protesters.

One staffer said cars parked outside the building were set on fire and protesters then entered the Channel 3 building.

The 6th floor of Maleenont Building and the Klong Toey office of the Bangkok Metropolitan Electricity Authority were also reported tobe on fire.

Red-shirts also set fires at the Stock Exchange of Thailand building, reports said.

Red-shirt mobs also set fire to the provincial halls in Khon Kaen and Udon Thani, in the Northeast of the country, reports said.

Hello Mr James Bond, I hope u can read this and not got arrested for breaking the curfew. Heard its a BHT40,000 fine if u r caught breaking curfew. Best stay indoors coz army & police have "shoot on sight" orders. Plz update us here on the situation over at Rachada.

i am now in khon khaen live report
Bangkok not exciting enuff u got 2 go to Red Heartland?

Central World is totally gutted. Local news reports that the building is in danger of collapse! It was blazing the whole day and only stopped a few hours ago. According to the Bangkok Post, the Siam Theatre at Siam Square also suffered the same fate.
YouTube - 100519 ?????? Zen ???????????? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puEiNl3k2IY)

Also unconfirmed reports that Pattaya also shut down early this evening. Reports mentioned 7-11's & shops but dunno about the bars & go-gos.

The air over Bangkok was filled with the arid smell of burning plastic & black smoke the whole day. This is the first curfew I've ever experienced. Very strange not hearing the sounds of the traffic outside. Juz hope that the city will be alright when day breaks.

Just my concern too, wish all the Bros currently 'reporting live' from Kon Kaen, Chiangmai, Bkk etc. well and safe and thanks for keeping us posted with updates faster than our own CNA !

And just heard from breaking news now 'Big C' supermarket in Rajdamri (opp central world) was torch this morning and fire ramp thru' 2nd floor !

I was there just last mth during the rally and went to 'Big C' to use the toilet as their management is kind enough to open up the washrooms for the red shirts to use despite everyone in that area close shop.... and now this unkindness happen !

Don't know which group could be setting fires over so many buildings or maybe a small portion of red shirts had somehow become insane and lost their sense.

Hope this area get clean up fast business return to norm.

Red shirt rioters take battle to the provinces

City hall offices in several provinces in the North and Northeast were burned by United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship supporters after the Centre for Resolution of the Emergency Situation launched its operation to break the red shirt barricades at Sala Daeng and Sam Yan. The move forced UDD leaders to disperse the rally and surrender to save protesters’ lives.

Hello,

Ratchada is safe and sound! Nothing unusual happened last night, it was calm, dark and serene. Few cars mainly taxis here and there but it seemed like a ghost town!

Today, all the clubs and soapys will be open but it will close early as usual until it's totally safe from the redshirts!

Maybe there is a big in-flow of THB back to Thailand to finance the Red Shirt campaigns :p It think the THB will fall when people (investors) are feeling unhappy with the situation and uncertainties and start to take out THB (out-flow of THB)

Maybe this is a stupid answer to a stupid question

Thaksin know Thai will b even more unhappy if Baht drop, guess he is pumping in alot of $$$ to invest in Baht to keep it strong.

Prof's 2nd reason is plausible with latest events, hurting economy including big drop in visitor arrivals.

It did drop to close to 24 awhile back, but 25 is a nice dream (we can all live on hope). Thb is a composite of several factors, positive business sentiments including good export earnings (before crisis) and positioning vs other major currencies like weakened euros. Go to thread on your thb interest, and maybe we can all learn a thing or 2 from you:

i agree with professor , not dorrer . thaksin not doing this out of charity

most thaksin supporters from farming villages in north , they dont know or care what the exchange rate is

if you are paying a lot of red shirts you need a lot of baht , cash

there must be a lot of inflow into Thailand now to pay all the red shirts and black shirts to start chaos

this is do or die time for thaksin

all this trouble started when govt announce they will seize thaksin assets

thaksin got nothign to lose now

CNA got other news to report can't b all about Thailand. Big C fire has been put out. Majority of Red Shirts want peaceful demonstrations. Its instigators & opportunists that are doing the burning & looting. That corner seafood restaurant, 7-11 and Bangkok Bank next to Big C also kanna burn & looted. Thai TV was interviewing the owners of the restaurant. Today counting the costs, Central World estimated needs minimum 9 months to repair.

Very true. The Thai economy is not all tourism & retail. Trade data from last month show exports were up. Euro now being hammered by Greek crisis. Is our MAS still wanting to keep the SGD weak to encourage exports? 555+ yeah would like to learn a thing or 2 on forex. Hedge the SGD against the THB, or izzit the other way around?

yeah actually thailand's economy is more than 60% export driven. Tourism contributes to their economy more than any other asian country but still only account to about 6% of GDP.

Thanks Bro for your update. CNA is a good news Ch, I'm proud of it but sometimes I watch becos of Yvonne Y. (Big D mai chai Big C), O. Edwards (so pretty) and now my new crush Genevieve W. (luv MILF) hahaha ... just joking .. well done girls !

Not too concern about that 'corner seafood restaurant' you mention, its mostly for farang. Somboon (mai chai Somboon D) would be my choice. More concern about that row of Issan vendors just outside Central World previously, miss their cheap and nice food !

Behind that 'corner seafood restaurant', the 4 massage spas (own by same boss), Venus (soapy), Indara & 7th Storey (both traditional), Ratdamri Spa (traditional under renovate) hope they are back in business though ...

Lets hope Bkk will be up and running and so will we.

Teteku,

Yes, normally soapys girls' rates are 1,800 - 2,200, but sideline models can go high as 5,000B! Usually the services are same, it matters individual's taste interms of looks, body shape and age. If you want soapy slides, the best place is Nataree Massage and for BBBJS, just go to Cafe Biwa and Catherine Massage.

Teteku,

Yes, normally soapys girls' rates are 1,800 - 2,200, but sideline models can go high as 5,000B! Usually the services are same, it matters individual's taste interms of looks, body shape and age. If you want soapy slides, the best place is Nataree Massage and for BBBJS, just go to Cafe Biwa and Catherine Massage.

hi norice, i was at nataree last night.. plenty of sideline SYTs.. some look very young but also inexperienced .. at least to me.. nice eye candy.. didnt went for anybody as it was too late.. only 10pm.. curfew time, they had to rush me out of the place.. hahaahha
only thing that stop me from gng nataree is always the room.. hate the old roomsssssss and CBJ..
